I'm curious what I changed since the older volumes tho. I feel like a lot of things have improved (HD, video quality, lighting, real pies, better thrown pies, more variations). But I do use less slime (not always, just not as much)... Less shaving cream (that's a combo of my tastes shifting and the models preferring real pies)... Less water (hard to clean up, plus a lot of folks told me they didn't like water during a scene)... And of course not shooting outside nearly as much.
Anyway, just curious... Depending on what it is, I'm sure I can bring back the "old school elements" from time to time.

I really liked Neil's old stuff too. He was definitely the first producer where I loved everything he did (as opposed to MF or SS, where I had to pick & choose since a lot of their stuff wasn't my thing).
There's at least one guy on here who hates Neil with a fiery passion tho. I'm sure he'll speak up very soon.

As ever with this sort of thing, you feel bad for leaving so many out, or picking one over another and so implying that x is better than y, when in absolute terms they're both great producers.
However, if I have to pick one, and notwithstanding that I can think of at least another half dozen I really, really like right now without even trying, and based purely on how many clips I've bought and how much time I've spent watching them...

Miss T and the Kowalski Bros, although they have recently shifted away from slime and moved into food-based wam, which I'm not into.
Being a Mud Guy.. My favorite changes as the producers come and go.. In the past almost 20 years of WAM surfing my favorite where MessyFun, Wambabes, MessyGirls, Allwam, Mud wrestling scenes from MostWam, Eurowam, MuddyPinays and Downloaddreams were pretty good. Sadly those last 4 sites havent produced any new Mud Wrestling videos in couple Months. Wetandmessy also as some pretty solid mud wrestling, but the mix of rare updates and not showing an up to date video store takes away from the fun.

Has to be either Brian Grove's Crazygirls, or Bill Shipton's Splosh, but both sites sadly now part of WAM history. Dificult to choose from current sites....Messygirl is always good, but I have a slight preference for the UK producers.

And you still have pies that stick, but there's not usually more than one or two in a scene. Some of my favorite volumes are 53 and 61s2, and 64 just cause of how well the pies were. I'm not saying they should all stick, and the variety you have now is great, but the pies that really sold me on your earlier volumes were the ones that really covered and stuck to the models. Oh Rich, don't get the wrong idea, SS has improved so much since the old days. I haven't seen this much effort to improve from any other producer. Like you said, lighting, video quality, models, and all that are remarkably better, and I absolutely love it along with everyone else who appreciates your work. Rich is one of my all time favourite producers, but the latest films just don't have the same 'feel' to them as the earlier volumes. I think it comes down to the pies for me as well. Rich has moved towards more 'real' pies (don't get me wrong, this is what the masses seem to ask for). While they give decent coverage, they just don't look the same. The basic shaving cream in a crust/tin seemed to give perfect results every time, and also created that slapstick 'feel'. One of my favourite SS scenes was volume 16 5. He literally just took an attractive model, put her in a public setting, and then absolutely nailed her with several sublime shaving cream pie hits. If Rich went back to using the same pie recipe with the current models/lighting/HD quality etc. I'd run out of money very quickly
Definitely Slapstickstuff fits what I like most. Anglefan and Mostwam are up there too for me.

I guess tastes change. The irony is that HD makes me appreciate real pies more and SC pies less (because they just look more "fake" to me now with improved resolution)... But I'm not opposed to doing some scenes here and there with all SC pies, just to see how sales are.
Although to be fair, the last couple scenes with almost all SC pies were a Letreya one (SS136 Scene 2) and a Shelly one (SS149 Scene 1). And both were very poor sellers. (But again... An African-American model and a Shelly scene... Those were gonna be poor sellers regardless. But even by THOSE standards... Bad sales.)
Anyway, not trying to hijack the thread... Just always fascinated and curious to get feedback from folks, especially if they prefer older scenes. I do love some of those "smushed" SC hits too, although it was always a little hit-and-miss to get the "perfect" crust stickage. (That Jill pinstripe scene from SS53 was one of the best too! AND another bad seller. Crap!!) I hunted through the last year or so of volumes to find some hits with really solid coverage... Many with crust stickage, many SC, some not.
I guess those kind of hits are still happening, but maybe not as OFTEN as before? Hmm...

I really liked most of Uppercrust videos.

. Did you like the newest Pie Machina? If you ever grab it, give me your thoughts. I think that's one of my best male/coed scenes for being a fully-fleshed-out scripted idea.
My problem is that it's also HARD to shoot the scenes when you're also getting messy. And cleanup is a bitch. And also, not as fun as pieing girls.

Frustrating indeed knowing that David has had some mud wrestling scenes in the can for months that haven't yet seen the light of day.
I have always lamented that no ONE producer has gotten all the elements right.

Smash Hit Video which did only two videos but they were both epic - "Pie Or No Pie" & "Ka-Ching Break" Legendary. Not only great set-ups, concepts, pieings, but several of different guys pied in each production.
Piejinks. Too bad they aren't still around. Good clean fun and added bonus of moments that genuinely made me laugh.
