I'm gonna sound nostalgic here, but Phoebe was a vital part of my early WAM days. When I first "discovered" WAM, you basically had the few big producers: SSS/WAMTEC, MessyFun, and Splosh. There were no "amateur" WAM producers. The first wave of that was Neil Edwards (who I've mentioned as an inspiration many times)... WLP Robby... Messygirl (who back then did NOT have other models, all vids were MG herself)... And then Phoebe.

In hindsight, Phoebe created the "template" that many females in the fetish industry (WAM or otherwise) still follow to this day. (Or in the case of Scumbag Chris, abuse.) She was a very attractive woman clearly having fun with her "interest" and then turning that into a business. I'm pretty sure the first couple videos (VHS only!) were advertised solely on that famous pie sandwich pic... And that might've been IT in terms of previews, beyond a brief WRITTEN description of what appeared on said videos. Which I believe cost $50 for the 2-fer.
[Side note: To those who complain that producers don't offer enough preview pics or vidclips to determine if a certain video is worth your "hard-earned" $5... You are SPOILED. YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW GOOD YOU HAVE IT.]

Anyway. I seem to remember a month going by with no VHS tape in the mail, and a few testy emails where it became apparent that Phoebe had become a bit more of a "hot commodity" than she'd originally planned. When that VHS *did* show, it was every bit as good as advertised. I think I was a regular customer right up until the end... Like a "I'll buy everything you put out" customer. (One of Phoebe's friends was a hot bitchy blonde who got nailed with pies while smoking. Possibly a Lenny custom. That was a good one.)
And all of you forgot the most important part: Phoebe is Canadian, so when she talked in her scenes (before the inevitable pies & slime), she had the same accent as Christine McGlade from YCDTOTV. Don't think THAT wasn't a selling point for me...

I guess Phoebe's stuff is a bit quaint now, but at the time it was absolutely a seismic shift in how amateur producers were able to connect to customers. I suspect that's also why so many guys took it VERY hard when Phoebe left the scene... Yes I know there was talk of her producing new stuff years ago, but I don't think anything came to fruition. (I might be imagining this, but I'm almost sure Phoebe mentioned that she would absolutely shoot with me... THAT would have been an amazing collaboration. Oh well!) Even so, it's very cool that she lurks around here... Like a better-looking Robby!

For those of us discovering the internet and wam around the millennium Phoebe is literally immortal, an absolute legend. Yes there are more professional videos nowadays but you can't fake loving wam like she clearly did/does and it shows. In 500 years when someone writes the history of wam she deserves to be in there with Lenny, Messygirl et al.

Phoebe was my first WAM crush. I had always had a thing for WAM, but I never really knew how to explore it or what it was until I first got on the internet. I never knew other people were into it and that I wasnt alone. I remember stumbling onto Phoebe's site ( god knows how I found it back in the days before google). It was like an awakening. Just the sample pics got my interest up and I was totally into it. Between her work, and that of Pie Fight Girls, WLP, and MessyGirl and whatever odds and ends clips I could get my hands on, it changed my view on fetish and WAM. The guy throwing pies at her always had great aim. Another great thing about her videos was that the pies she used really stuck to her face. And as mentioned before, her expressions were priceless. She didn't giggle her way through her scenes.
