I am starting to flag videos which I think should appear in Videos (newest) but which do not. Without scrolling down the Wall to find them (which I do not have the time to do) it is only by seeing other folks' comments that brings these to my attention, like me I am sure a lot have been missed by other members which is a shame. This problem only appears to have started in mid-December. I urge all others to flag similarly!

I'm not sure exactly what you're saying that is happening. Can you give us an example of what you mean?

I'm not saying that there isn't anything wrong but the first link posted for Cody Custard, their newest video was uploaded 17th January 2021 and when I look at the videos ordered by date, that same video is on page 5 which is correct.
Are you saying that maybe on the 18th Jan, that video wasn't on page 1/the front page of the videos section?

This puzzles me - are we on different pages? I am seeing nothing resembling what you say when I look on on https://umd.net/videos/newest On there the entries on 'my' page 1 go right back to 23rd Dec 2020. Maybe my settings are in error or something?
Rick i would clear your cache i think your viewing a cached version of the site , that your computer is loading up instead of a Live version . Clear your cache , your cookies and such and relog into UMD and see if that fixes it.

I just did as you suggested mhop, I know that was overdue for doing! But the page still comes up just as it did before, sadly I wonder if my still being on Windows 7 has any bearing on things?
OOOOOOO windows 7 ceased having any updates a while ago . meaning its frame work and firm ware is dated. Also internet browsers ceased doing updates for windows 7 as windows 10 is the latest build. There is most likely your issue because you are using windows 7 you are only seeing cached versions of the website cause its no longer supported . Sorry. I loved windows 7 and rocked the professional build for a good long while before going to a standard one I use 10 now its a free upgrade Might be time to due so.

Also need to know what Browser you are using.
Thanks mhop, you seem to confirm what I thought! The process of upgrading daunts me, although I guess it can be done remotely by my local pc expert. My browser - Google Chrome (I have IE as an alternative which I never use).
So yeah chrome should be fine sounds like a bad cache , time to upgrade to windows 10 its super easy windows does all the work , and takes all your old stuff nad puts it into a folder on your comp named windows old super simple.

On that page can I double check that you have Sorted By on LATEST? For me on that setting everything is in the correct order and the videos you have mentioned are in their correct chronological upload order.
I'm on Win10 but I had no previous problems with Win7, I did have a caching issue with UMD a while back but that was resolved.
If you're happy it's an upgrade issue the I'll leave this be, but if you fancy uploading some screenshots we can have a look and see if we're definitely talking about the same page and display. I'm not tech support but happy to help where I can.

Out of curiosity I tried the Videos listing on Internet Explorer but it gave me the same result as on Chrome. Hope to upgrade to W10 when I can over next few weeks. I appreciate your help!

Thanks for getting back - definitely the vids page is set on LATEST. If I do screenshots not sure how I can get them to you.
@RickA: Ok, well it sounds like you're doing everything right.
I forgot that there are other settings on that page too so I have attached a screenshot of what I can see.
On https://umd.net/videos/newest my settings are Latest, All gender, non-wam off, x-rated allowed. Given the potential time delay does your page look anything like mine when using the same settings?
If not and you wish to share what you can see, use the Snip Tool, save it and just upload it here on UMD under your reply box. Please ensure no personal information is visible.

Hey thanks for this one. The only difference between my settings and yours is that mine are normally set to 'Male', not 'all'. However when I set mine to 'all' (to equal yours) there is a huge difference in the pages + total of vids >>> pages 299 (yours) / 116 (mine); total vids 11131 (yours) 4619 (mine). On male setting my pages reach 19 and vids total 749. I assume that on yours they still run to around 40 vids per page as with me. So it looks like I have been missing out for a helluva while. Best let this drop for now until I am running W10, I will then let you know how things are.
This is a little weird, using the most restrictive male settings (male strict, non-wam off, x-rated reduced, no trailers ticked) I still have 3495 videos (88 pages).
You seem to have visible significant fewer videos than me, not clear exactly what's going on, I feel it is cache related but you've conducted some tests that would have resolved that but didn't.
Good luck with the upgrade, I went for a clean install of Win10 rather than a 7>10 upgrade. Feel free to message me after the upgrades and we can have another look at the numbers.
I wonder if there is another possibility causing this problem .... I have a huge number of images in my UMD album galleries, virtually up to the member's maximum file capacity allowed. In fact I have to keep deleting a few to make room for new posts. I hope this is not connected!
Feel free to message MessMaster but I'm not sure where this would sit in his priority queue. I actually didn't realise that there was a limit to uploaded images so it's not something I factored into the previous tests.
Hey, RickA, it looks like I have the same issue which I didn't realize until that screenshot. Thanks for all your replies, CKWam. When I log out and visit the Videos page those 11,000+ videos do show up. I notice that RickA and I are both VIP so maybe there is something about having that status that filters out over half the vids, but I don't see anything in the Profile Preferences that would do that.
Looks like I have 279 pages of videos to revisit LOL
I just thought of something due you guys have NO trailers checked , not sure if the system is counting short videos as trailers so its filtering them out .

Thanks for your efforts too, mhop. When I check that "No trailers" box I end up with 235 total vids. I suspect it's some odd database join in a very complicated system with tiers of users. I should mention that I'm running Windows XP(!) but it looks more like a server side issue to me.
How are you still running window XP support for that ended years ago, Not even sure how you are able to be online with windows XP there is no Frame work for it any more.

And yet here I am, LOL. I have a laptop with windows 10, but my old computer has a big screen and I'm going to ride it til the wheels come off.

That is amazing, thank you for joining in! I just found the same happens with me!! Glad I am not alone on this - I just messaged Messmaster for help!
Sorry for my delay guys. RickA, you're blocking almost 40 users. Recently I've been expanding UMD's existing filter system to also try and block video results and other content by people you're already filtering from the forums/wall. That'll make your results different from anyone else's. I need to put up some indication on the Videos page that that's what's happening.
BTW your video results are not cached when we're displaying custom results like this. Other displays are cached and I believe they're working accurately.
I believe this would be the issue, but please chime in if you still think something's up. Also, THANK YOU all for working together on this--totally my fault for not telling anyone about the feature I was working on.

Thank you Messmaster that is indeed the answer to the problem - I just unblocked all of the blocked users and I now have the full tally of vids back - wow! The reason I blocked most or all of the users involved was due to most their comments being related to the feminine side, although their album and video posts were of undoubted male interest! I will have to work out how to address that issue in future!
