Hypothetical question to all WAM producers: if you could get government funding, a government grant, to make wet and messy fetish material & pornography, would you accept it?
Looking forward to Keynesian esque state sponsored WAM. Inject some new stuff (ie whatever the fuck I like) into the market. WAM would live on forever through thick and thin but you'd mostly be subjected to either self pies or coed scenes (or a full on pie fight of ya fuckin lucky). Take it or leave it comrades before disaster capitalism swallows us all
Hell no! As a friend of mine once said, government money is the most expensive money you can get.
The US Federal government makes you account for every single expense down to the money and provide accurate records for them all or they can and will demand the money back. State and city are sometimes just as bad.

I wonder if this is something that would vary by country?
To an extent any commercial producer gets government funding as we get to set our costs and expenses against our income to reduce the amount of tax we'd otherwise have to pay. We also benefit from things that are provided for the general public good like the road network, rail network, etc - we exist in societies that always have some level of basic services provided by the state, or privately provided but all or part subsidised by the state.
But I'm guessing the question is intended to be more related to actually receiving a government (national or local) funded grant of some kind - and in my case, hell yeah, if say I could get an Arts Council grant to pay for a bigger dungeon or better facilities for models, etc, I'd be all over it. WAM is a creative artform, and hence can logically be state funded just as many other creative artforms like opera or gallery exhibitions are.
TBH it's not something I've looked into as I suspect it would only be practical for full time producers, but I probably should investigate if any funding is available, even if it was just for extra promotion.

Hypothetically if the government did provide funding to porn producers, it would be the lowest grade porn on the market. I'm not saying it because I think that the government does shot work, but they always contract out to the lowest bidder regardless of the project or it's importance, and seeing as porn has NO importance other than getting peoples rocks off... you can imagine the bottom of the barrel quality smut they would fund.
For instance, I don't want to go into too much detail about my own productions, but for every dollar I spend I bet the most I could get from a government funded project would give me about 1 penny. So think one slice of cake to my usual 10 cake video. The rational would be that the goal is technically still accomplished, cake on tits, but the absolute minimum is being spent to deliver it.
