Another day, another pirate! This time, it was me, I have finally found a leaked video of mine and Pieguy65 on thisvid.com is the one who dunnit. I said the day I found my stuff leaked is the day I shut down shop-so here is the day. I will be fair and give him a day to take it down before I make my final decision, but it is not looking good. I value my privacy over my fun. Hopefully, the fun can continue, but only this one person can decide.

It's really troubling and frankly, discouraging how big of fuckwits some people are. I respect your decision, Bratty, but this fucking sucks one way or another. Even if this idiot takes it down, it's just discouraging that people engage in incel-type behavior like this in the first place.

I thought we could all continue to share in this messy fun I love to have, but not at the cost of my personal security. I have kept my costs so low to try and make it manageable for everyone to have a chance to buy, but seriously. Leaking a $6 video is just scum of the earth. This is heartbreaking for me. I will keep my Instagram and OF for now since there is no selling of content there, but again, once I find content being leaked from there, its the same action. We too had some of our vids pirated on the exact site that was mentioned. It happened only about a week or so ago. I ended up using the UMD takedown email generation and the vids were thankfully removed. And that certainly wasn't the first time this happened unfortunately. It's a real shame, because Bratty seemed like a very genuine person and made an amazing mess. She will be heavily missed on this forum.

It irritates me to no end how people are willing to pay $9 for a beer at a ballgame or $6 for a coffee... but won't pony up the dough to buy a clip of what has got to be one of the most inconvenient kinks to create content for.

Agree. But it's not just the money.

In this case and many others involving amateur models and 'home grown' content, it's not at all about the money. It's the loss of control of that person's image and its unauthorised distribution on external platforms.

These individuals are often taking a calculated risk and putting their trust in this community as a whole.

If this trust is lost we'll certainly be seeing a lot less content and more models pulling scenes and even entire catalogues.

My videos gets taken too & from OF sadly and it really isn't cool, it took allot to come out and share my kink but I did in a 'safe' place & to have it not feel safe is horrible, I get we are on the internet and it gets seen, but it's just not nice when you share your personal being & love, put time & money into things and people think it's ok to steal it from us. Yes, that's something I've noticed about that site - even video that was shared for free and can still be viewed in its original location is widely pirated. The motivation for that puzzles me, I guess it's about someone wanting to have the social status of being the guy who has the channel and the videos, without actually sticking their neck out and making or commissioning content themselves.
I really don't like that site, I used it for a little while but between the piracy, lack of moderation and the borderline or outright illegal content that would often appear in the new videos feed, I wasn't going to stay there.

Personally, way back to the very start, I've always taken pains to explain to all our people "this is fetish work, guys wank to it, make sure you'rte comfortable with that" before they do their first shoot, and in the last ten years I've also added "and once your image is on the Internet it'll be there forever, because everything gets pirated eventually", as well. We've been pretty successful in getting public pirate copies taken down, but you just know there will be others you don't know about.

I wonder if there should be some kind of "be aware" information provided, esp to newble self-promoting models, "Yes, you'll get a lot of likes and interaction, and there are some lovely people here, but be aware there are also many out there who are only interested in taking, and can and will rip you off. UMD and many of its contributors will do what's possible to report piracy and tools are provided to generate the appropriate DCMA take-down notices, but not all sites will comply, especially those hosted beyond the reach of developed world law enforcement. Before posting images, or content for sale, understand that at least some of it will get pirated by those who simply don't believe in paying for things."

And that's not meant to victim blame in this case, rather thinking of warning future potential contributors. I'm old and cynical and long ago came to the conclusion that the world is a dark and dangerous place, especially for women, full or predators, theives, and scammers, and that it's not going to change in my lifetime, if ever. But younger people are forever full of hope, which gradually gets obliterared as reality grinds them down.

But I also figured it was a matter of time, so I guess I'm cynical too.

Sorry you're dealing with this. I'm still pulling down our videos from the early 2000s (videos we never sold, only shared here on the UMD). Not to be a pessimist but I think this is just part of the ride if you put content out there. Best to call it a day if you know deep down you'll never be able to get accustomed to it.

I don't k now how to do it, or indeed how much trouble it is, but is it too much of a faff to add a watermark to published images? This won't cure the problem, but it might slow it down and/or send the pirates somewhere else.

Unfortunately watermarking doesn't do too much. There's the hope that maybe somebody will see it and have a heart and think to themselves "oh maybe I can buy more of this somewhere". That's a rare sentiment among folks who are looking for stuff on free sites. It's more a tool prove it's yours when getting it taken down. The most unscrupulous of pirates will crop the video and re-render it with the watermark removed.

So as someone who runs another "store" on a major clip site I fight them on a daily bases. A good majority of mine are stolen by people who use other peoples credit cards. They then post them online and earn revenue off of views or premium file links.

All you can really do is take down notices.

But at the risk of being my usual cynical self.... The whole idea of "This is why the UMD can't have nice things" has been bandied around for.... Two decades? Maybe more?
Even if 99% of the community is honorable and decent and has a moral compass, there's always a few rotten apples that do their best to ruin everything.... From harassing celebrities on social media to "get pied for charity," to producers scamming customers for custom money, to assholes who pirate everything they can find AND openly ask to trade clips.

I remember first discovering dozens of my clips on P**H**, and yes I felt violated. I can only imagine how it would feel if I was the actual woman IN those clips. I might've done the same thing as Bratty, honestly. Fortunately, I had some distance being behind the camera, so all I could do was keep up due diligence and keep filing those takedown reports. PH's demise has made it a *little* better, but as we see, the pirates are always gonna keep coming.

Best thing this community can do is help each other. If you spot your favorite producer's clip on a 3rd party site illegally, send a Piracy notice! AND DM them! (I get email alerts for DMs but not Piracy Alerts, so I always prefer both.)
Plus, MM and especially Soundguy are very good at "blacklisting" known pirates.... Soundguy will track these guys across multiple store purchases and user handles, until they're banned from buying anything on any Vidown store, PERIOD. Doesn't solve the problem but might make a few guys think twice before uploading a $6 video to a porn site just to be a douchebag.

I watermark my trailers, but not 'paid for' content. It's just not classy IMO.

But I do have issues with watermarks being cropped out of still images. As one of the most pirated producers around (over 5,000 takedowns and counting), it's funny that the cropping of watermarks is still one of the most irritating and baffling things about it. Part of me takes it as a sign of flattery though, in that these incels prefer to act as if they produced the content instead of sitting on their loser asses.

Bratty's video was taken down from DCMA and not by the user.

The video was private. Like most are. I could not watch it, but I know which one it is because I purchased it and can recognize the thumbnail.

395 views when Bratty posted it, from a video that was 1 day old, and it got like a hundred more views before it was taken down.

We have had some of our videos turn up on various sites and this is the same thing that puzzles me; what do these people get out of doing this?!? The content that has been found is the stuff that is readily available on our YouTube channel. Thankfully, none of the stuff we have shared privately has appeared anywhere that we know of. And on a positive note, I would like to thank the people that have messaged us when they found our content being stolen. Just within this last week we got messages from MessyandMuddy, Dormant and Splosh Piggy about 3 separate piracies that they found

And as others have already said, while it is most likely just a few bad apples, but it can really ruin the bunch. It is discouraging to see this behavior knowing all the work that goes into a shoot. And as of this writing, I see there is one less person producing now. Take care Bratty!
