Thanks for the great find, Pinhead. Great combination of an excellent pieing and a lovely lady who is also a very good sport. "It was everything I thought it would be and more," she says with a smile through the pie at the end of the short video clip linked above. She posted this video on her FB page, where in various replies to comments from others she says she loved it and that it was so much fun.
Interestingly enough, one of the commenters on FB indicates that Miss Idaho was also pied by the brother of the girl or woman who pied Abigail. Can't find anything else about that, but here's a photo of her...

Yeah, so....this is maybe just flat out the best clip I've ever seen. (at least that was my reaction when I saw it four hours after it came out).

I'm someone who is exclusively interested in mainstream clips - and it deeply saddens me that we can't really explore this kind of material because almost everyone is a damn idiot about it. There's a ton of events and videos, etc. which can be found on Facebook, Twitter, and other places - and we could do a ton of things with those events, if we were clever and creative about it. We could send people near Boise to personally videotape events like this. But, of course, we can't have nice things here.

Your argument sounds like, "Why can't we figure out ways to trick celebrities and organizations into providing us with fetish material for free?"
The answer, of course, is twofold:
1) This is ethically and morally wrong. Not that it stops #2.
2) People obsessed with a fetish to the point of reaching out to 100s/1000s of organizations and individuals often do a poor job of disguising the creep factor.
I suppose you could easily coordinate with other like-minded folks on here to record public events that pique your "interest." Again, it's morally queasy, but nothing criminal about it.
I think the problem is, we've evolved since the pre-Internet days when, yes, small snail-mail clubs like "The Pie Mafia" would organize letter-writing campaigns to do the exact thing you described. (Rhonda Shear's pieings were one such successful campaign.) Not defending these actions, but back then it came off as more organic and genuine, which is probably why organizers took such request seriously. (And why RunninRebel finds it so hard for his one-man Twitter offense to gain traction.)
Also, when "WAM in the wild" was as rare as hen's teeth, it was a lot easier to convince folks to jump through hoops on the off chance it might pay off. Nowadays, you're much better off (from a practical AND ethical level) browsing YouTube for the literally thousands of pie and mess amateur clips uploaded every month.
Rich, I'm glad you remember the Pie Mafia - there probably aren't many around here who do.
A much bigger reason that RunninRebel doesn't find much traction is, of course, because he is anything but clever about how he launches his offense.
Also, who said it was always "free" - often, it may cost hundreds or thousands of dollars to achieve the intended result (of course, I'd point out that charity is a nice tax write-off).

100% agree with this poster on the welcome use of crust. That's usually why I find mainstream-civilian clips lackluster and not worth spending a lot of time seeking out. They go the cheap and easy route. It's perfectly understandable of course. They're not catering to our demographic and, fundraisers want to maximize contributions.

Oh, Nonny Moose, I completely disagree - there are so many more opportunities available now than there ever were back then (and honestly, most opportunities now are fairly easy to convert if you are either clever enough, or you are willing to shill out the right price, or some combination of the two). I mean, I guess it's tough if you aim real high with wanting "legit celebs," but I could care less if someone is a celebrity or not.

Oh.....Miss Idaho International, huh? [*Snicker*] That's why I couldn't find any mention of it on the websites of the REAL Miss Idaho (the one that competes in Atlantic City for Miss America) and organization.
Are you suggesting that Idaho doesn't have international flair, that people don't routinely pour into the Gem State from all nooks and crannies of the world to dig the taste of its succulent potatoes, to gaze in awe at the nation's deepest river gorge, or admire the only U.S. state seal that was designed by a woman (see below)?
I just learned that Miss Idaho (or insert any other state name) International is so named because she goes on to compete for the crown of Miss America, who in turns goes on to compete for the title of Miss Universe.
Now it's certainly true that Marissa Wickland is nowhere near the beauty that the other current Miss Idaho is, but please bear in mind that one Olivia Culpo was once the humble Miss Rhode Island International, before going on to become Miss USA ... and then Miss Universe... and finally, at the undoubted apex of her career, the recipient of an excellently delivered cream pie at her sister's deft hand...

I know I've got a pic of the Mrs. Nebraska pieing (yes, you got the state right -- she had the sash on with Nebraska written on it) as well as the better res pic of the Rodeo Ramonas somewhere on my hard drive, but trying to find them amidst the hundreds of other real-life pieings I've saved pics of is a needle-in-the-haystack proposition. I distinctly recall that Mrs. Nebraska pieing looked like it was pretty great, coverage-wise, although the quality of the image I had was quite low-res (that one was uploaded to the web in the late 90s, I think on Hurley Coward's site, so you can imagine it was very compressed).
There was also a rodeo beauty queen pied in full regalia in the late 90s (I think it was in Nevada, and I know the pieing was an animal-rights protest against the rodeo) that I recall seeing pictures of online at that time, but it's hardly worth the effort to track it down. The mess the pie left on the queen was minimal, although possibly that's just a matter of the photo being taken too late. Pretty sure she was wearing a purple or maybe light blue satin-y looking dress and her crown when she got pied.

Since this seems to have become a thread about beauty queens getting the treatment, here's my personal favorite.
The current Miss Maryland USA (again, someone may have to point out how that differentiates her from the other Miss Marylands) took at least 3 pies a few years ago at a Relay for Life fundraiser. She held a different title at the time (I guess there's a college division of some kind) but she still wore a crown and sash while getting creamed.

It's a good stuff, and rarely used here. Like scarfs in the neck of a woman with suit or long blazers, or like leather jackets, with dress and belts.
Country clothes (shirt, pants and belts) are also a good theme for pies. Hope to see more of this here on the future...

Easiest and most effective way of getting content with very specific wardrobe requests? Pay for customs.
Otherwise it's basically a crapshoot as to whether a producer will randomly do your wardrobe choice on their own... and then another crapshoot if it will actually sell. In this case, T already had this outfit, and it seemed like a fun change-up, so we did it. Then the scene sold only OK, so it never happened again.
If enough buyers liked Western wear enough to financially support those kind of scenes (and it would only take 50 people who ACTUALLY buy in this day & age)..... Then you'd be seeing Western wear all the time.
I made the mistake of shooting an overalls scene (not Western wear, but close) after a customer convinced me there was a HUGE market for it. So basically, I did his custom for free, because of course there's only 5 people who actually WANT to see a girl in overalls get messy, and the normal buying public avoided the scene altogether. But I was young, and didn't know any better.... Lesson learned!
