That's actually one of the things that can really make a pie video work for me; the comeuppance. I feel like WLP and PFG and WetAndMessy and Messygirl were really good at that. like, honestly? people that ask me to do some real fucked up shit? and i have to charge more bc usually some of it is soooooo gross it wont sell! (aka me blending an entire dead fish in a blender with some gravy and using that....it didnt sell well....)

THAT IS GNARLY! but her attitude before hand was too. yikes! id have been off the wall, pissed! the slime looks awesome! i cant believe all that stuff was in it!!

like, honestly? people that ask me to do some real fucked up shit? and i have to charge more bc usually some of it is soooooo gross it wont sell! (aka me blending an entire dead fish in a blender with some gravy and using that....it didnt sell well....)

I can't speak for @SlimedModels on this, but for me, I try to find the balance of making it disgusting so that they know they're getting green schlimed and it is NOT pleasant, but also make it so that it's not overpowering or overwhelming.
Like, regardless of what I put in my slime, the most frequent comment about the stench is that smells like "barf". But not to the point that anyone is actually going to barf lol.
And for me, it's more about the texture and it looking foul and undefinable with lots of gross globs and nasty lumps and splattery chunks. The stinky smell is a bonus, but not necessary and def not in service to trying to get the model to gag or wretch or anything. It's more about getting a genuine "eww!" or "yeaucgh" out of them.
For example, the fishy scent of a couple cans of sardines gets drowned out by the other stinky smells when it's all mixed together, but then after the sliming is finished, a model might find a fish head slithering down her arm or resting atop her shoulder and be reminded of how yucky getting slimed is.
And also, the grossness of the ingredients greatly helps elevate the indignity of it all. Like getting slimed with sweet sugary cake batter? That's a silly thing to have happen to you on a Tuesday night. But getting glopped with a smelly mixture of rotten foods and nasty condiments? OMG!! HOW HUMILIATING!!!
Goal-wise, I don't want anyone to be sick, but I do want to ensure that there isn't any smiling or laughing about it, or mistaking that this isn't a punishment. A disgusting and humiliating punishment. For saying three arbitrary words that a Canadian sketch show decided would forever be linked to green slime.
(In my opinion) Getting slimed is not something to laugh about, and slime is NOT something to lick off your face inbetween lines. It should be gross and innocuous and even if the person getting slimed is a great actress, I still want to slime the person, not just the character they're playing, so I want their experience to be as unpleasant as their character's experience. Just like it was for any of the actors on YCDTOTV.
So making slime gross is both on brand for the original influence (ycdtotv), as well as effective for my intended goals. But I don't want anyone to puke or be traumatized, which is why I make sure that each person approves the ingredients being dumped on them before hand, and also depending on how I feel about the model, the scale of grossness can shift to either side as well. There's been plenty of times where we moved to less foul batches as the shoot went on because I really enjoyed the person.
Bringing it back full circle, Haley is the opposite of that

My favorite slime scenes are ones when it is portrayed as a disgusting and humiliating punishment. As a consumer, if you get that reaction out of a model in a scene, it is as close as you can get to perfection.

Exactly, I was thinking that was some nice premium goop (and depending on what you're into it WAS). My olfactory nerves are a little too sensitive for that though, I'm sure I could have added to the nasty ingredients if I had to be in the same room as that particular aromatic mixture.

I don't get this issue with a professional model flaking on a pre scheduled shoot? Also, why would you pay them upfront? We have had models we contacted say no to shooting for us after we explained what we do. This is a good way to screen the flakes before we hire them.
