I am honestly sorry to have upset you, Rich. You should go on believing in yourself and see your work in whatever light you please. Please bear in mind that, despite Gness7's gross misreading of my posts, I NEVER tried to doubt what your own intentions were for your work, I was only talking about the way your work is received by a majority of your audience (which admittedly, I can only surmise anecdotally, but I have talked to at least two dozen people who claim to be among your biggest fans; this, more than anything else, has helped me to sympathize with your frustrations as a WAM producer who is to a fairly large degree hidebound to the demands of his audience, given that your WAM business is your primary source of income.)

I know you probably refuse to believe this, but I am truly a fan of comedy in WAM and I hope you can bring back more of it into your work, since it seems to be what you'd most like to do, and it's an area where you excel. I understand the marketplace doesn't place a premium on the extra work required for this kind of thing, but hopefully the satisfaction of doing what you really want can compensate.

So -- what is the conclusion to this long thread.....i.e. do you prefer Wam scenes that are purposely intended to arouse you and be erotic...e.g. Carole Laure's chocolate scene in the 1974's "Sweet Movie"....or you prefer totally oblivious wam scenes that are intended to be comedic or dramatic and not intended to be erotic.

All WAM Producer videos are intentionally erotic, but many folks here find the unintentional mainstream movie and tv scenes more erotic.

It would be interesting to hear what turns people on more, intentional wam erotica, or mainstream wam scenes that can be construed as unintentionally erotic.

For me personally, I find my interests have changed over the last 4 decades. I started out being more interested in unintentional mainstreams scenes that I happened to find erotic, then I started hiring models and became more interested in purpose driven wam erotica, and now I have gotten bored with that I have gone back to finding mainstream scenes more interesting.

For me, the biggest factor today is "awareness" of the model....i.e. I prefer a mainstream comedy scene where the girl not aware of the nature of the wam fetish, because if the models or actresses knows about WAM then they are invariably pandering and giving a "come hither" performance to an audience that they know is watching.....and being pandered to is a turn off for me.

I would rather be a "fly on the wall" and a crew stage hand for Blake Edwards on "The Great Race" film set and just be a spectator when Natalie Wood was pied, than to have Natalie Wood be told about the Wam fetish and then wink at me and give me a lap dance with a pie in each hand....(I am sure there are many who would prefer the latter ha ha)

I don't think you're being irrational. Putting aside the nip slip videos which do enter into the realm of softcore porn, for the most part you specialize in kink erotica. Porn is about explicit content, erotica is about intent. Quite a few mainstream media scenes count as erotica, with Natalie Wood in The Great Race being a great example. Though I think in that case it was probably not kink erotica, as much as it was just plain erotica full stop, because I'm not convinced we need to say the director was trying to court a WAM audience.

You are right -- it was an exploding cake scene, not a pie fight. But the irony here is, more girls got messy in this scene (Lana and 2 others) than got messy in The Great Race.

I know that scene but somehow never noticed that Lana was one of the girls. Bad Reg-- er, Guy!

Just discovered that Natalie Wood was involved in some kind of pie highjinx on a beach at an earlier point in her career than The Great Race. Unfortunately it looks like she probably only delivered pies in this case and didn't receive any...

The whole trick is to SAY you're not doing film/movie/custom WAM material for erotic reasons but for comedic reasons, and to make your fetish film/mainstream movie look like it was made with comedic intent, but REALLY you're doing it for erotic reasons. It puts both customers & filmmakers/WAM producers into a bind, until we have mind-reading technology.

Interesting I did not know that. I traced the pics back to a 1956 charity beach event held by the Thalians charity. FYI it was not a pie throwing contest, it was a pie eating contest. I found this info on the Thalians website where they say .,...
