So we're about a month away from UMD Vegas, and already it's getting more fun. We sorta extended the dates, shoots are being scheduled, and adventures to as-seen-on-tv joints are getting planned. Our shark tank pool party is poppin off as we're about 20 deep so far. We're gonna roll in there gangsta, like wam-SYDE! I called the the Golden Nugget and asked about their policy on wearing clothing in the pool, and the manager came on and basically said... nah dog.

How does everyone feel about using a phone app to communicate during the weekend? I have only been to Vegas once, but it was crazy and communicating was not easy as we tried to coordinate our group. As most of us don't know each other, it might be even harder.

I have used Whats App to communicate among groups of friends and employees and found it hugely helpful. Another option is GroupMe, https://groupme.com/en-US/ which I am old is even better for this kind of group event. Both are all very similar and I beth there are others. You download the app for free to your phone, join the group or groups you want to be part of and it allows you to communicate instantly to everyone within your group. You can share text messages, pics, vids and audio. Its basically like a big group text message.

It would be really useful as we want to meet up at bars, restaurants or the pool. Or to share info like changes in plans, last minute opportunities like where's everyone going to cure their hangovers, or supply runs for alcohol or pie tins!

Of course if you are attending and don't wish to participate for any reason, that would be totally understandable.

I would be happy to set it up. Or set it up and turn it over to MM to manage.

I hadn't thought too much about this and was figuring we'd have a thread just for things, or maybe use the chat function that only 15 on the site ever use. It's not a bad thought to use something that people don't regularly use if they want to keep WAM separate from the rest of our lives. For instance, Facebook messenger is probably not the best idea.

GroupMe does work well. I have that with my friends in New Orleans and everyone just announces shows and parties on it. It's super easy but make sure to turn off notifications. They get really annoying if a bunch of people are chatting!

Beside our websites we also run an online laser engraving business for a while already and recently I also started developing motorcycle parts. Most of my life is just work, so much more boring than most people think, but in my free time I love to travel, do motorcycle tours and take pictures. Still figuring out if I will be able to get time off to travel, but figured I should say hi anyway. JD is short for Jessie Doran and I am slowly creeping up on 40 (but still act about 14 most of the time). I have been around the UMD since the early days. If I don't make it to the meet up, Messmaster can regale you with the tale of making a road trip to my house in Middle-of-no-where, Pennsylvania to shoot some video of Messy Toni back in the old days! I tend to be a lurker here unless I have something worth sharing. Most recently was the stuff I did while with Janet. I like pies and slime with formal wear and costumes (especially with hosiery) which makes me a big fan of Leonmoomin's work.

Other fun facts: I currently reside in Baltimore, Maryland which seems to be best known these days for topping many lists as the "Most Dangerous City in the USA." I spend my nights running the life support equipment in a busy ER (hopefully keeping the murder statistics slightly lower). I am Patrick, solidly 62 years old, 30 lbs overweight, and missing some of my original equipment hair. I shoot WAM, various other fetish stuff, and some traditional porn stuff. In one of several former lives, I was a professional audio systems technician, designer, and front-of-house "engineer" (non-degreed), hence the username.
