From the 1973 movie Invasion Of The Bee Girls The Bee Girl transformation scene, when a naked woman is slathered and "cocooned" with "Bee Girl wax". I'm not sure what they used but I like to believe it was marshmallow fluff This scene legit blew my mind when I was probably 11 or 12 years old and I saw it for the first time on USA's Up All Night. All of a sudden I realized my fantasies could come to life, I just need to find the right people to make it happen

It was back in the mid 90s and it was one of the first messy images I found on line. Would love to see it again - I haven't seen it in ages. There were some amazing pics back then.
I remember borrowing a buddy's computer in the barracks while he was out at the bars. Nobody knew what cookies or browser history was back then so it was cool.
I think I went through 4-5 beers waiting for the HUGE 1.5 MB preview file to load, lol.
But when it did, WOW.
That first pie was insane.
For a kid who'd only a few weeks prior leaned that he had company with this weird thing of his, that first pie had my heart about to beat out of my chest.

What's more, it's by BMX Bandits - a brilliant band. One of Kurt Cobain's favourites, although they're more jinglepop than anything else, think maybe early Byrds or (more recently) Teenage Fanclub.

I run into Duglas from the BMX Bandits now and again, as the Scottish music scene is a small world. I never have brought up the topic of that cover...

When I started this thread, I knew a few images were bound to be mentioned and you guys didn't disappoint: the Redd Hott pie splat, Phoebe pie sandwich, and Ariel's Pie Shop.
For me this scene was one of the first I discovered when the internet first emerged, and I realised there were other people who liked this, and a world of American TV and, in time, specialist producers.
I first saw it as a little girl, maybe around 8 or 9 years old maybe???? I always loved Sophia Loren, she portrayed, and was such a strong woman in real life, that I looked up to her as someone I wanted to be like. If I remember right, this was a scene with Steve McQueen or some other hot leading man in the late 60's and she just jumped in that water with THAT yellow dress on! Very, very exciting and certainly added to a fetish that I never knew I had way back then.
