I know, the appeal in WAM rests heavily on the subject and the mess. And even in WAM videos based on a written scene or sketch, the quality of the acting falls somewhere on the list of viewer priorities right below the color of the kitchen utensils used to make the pies. Still, I got my start in WAM watching actual actors get messy so let's pay a little lip service to the craft.
Who do you think are the best actors you've seen in a produced WAM video. They can be anyone: male or female, UMD celebrity or one-off video model, a lot of mess or a little mess. Just so long as they committed to the bit and put in effort trying to play a character and not just read lines.
Off the top of my head and the one to inspire the question, I'm going with Brin from Slapstick Stuff. It takes sneaky good acting chops to play a robot without being "robotic" and making it funny. Ask Brent Spiner. So the little vocal and physical details she put into the Pie Machina video really made her jump off the screen. And I've learned not to take that kind of commitment for granted in produced WAM. Any others?
Wow, thanks for singling Brin out in your very first post! I'm honored. And yes, she was one of my favorites.... She wasn't a "trained" actress but she definitely knew how to play to the camera, and she was also a fan of slapstick comedy. (So basically a unicorn!) I remember in our initial convo when she mentioned she was a huge Three Stooges fan..... I was like, "Am I being Punked??" (Out-of-date Aston K reference!) But she really, truly was.
I've always tried to find amazing models who also have some acting chops.... Or at the very least, I let them play up their personality to ridiculous levels as much as possible. (Like, Vivi/Natalia was terrible with lines, but she was a GREAT bad actress with the right setup.)
My personal favorite in terms of pure acting is still Lolly. Easily the most trained and prepared actress I've ever worked with. I don't think slapstick is her personal favorite thing ever, but MAN did she sell it.

I have worked with many models who are good actors but for me Cherry, Miss Abigail and Lottie Lalay are the 3 who have the most incredible acting chops.
I've always thought Charlee Chase did the best version of the "haughty woman", especially in her "Mary Ann v. Ginger" or as the boss in "French Maid Mess". There was something about the aspect of "I'm too dignified for this" turning into "Oh, it's on". She did a few scenes with Christina Carter, but they were never straight one v. one pie fights, and I always thought they could have gone together well with their similar attitudes.
Additionally, I always thought Amy was a solid actress with Messy Girl. She was in a wide variety of roles and didn't seem to lose her touch between different ones. Additionally, she seemed equally comfortable switching from the beginning of a scene where she was fighting with another model to the end of the scene where they were "reconciled". As much as I'm sure a majority of it was acting, I suspect she enjoyed both aspects, which probably helped the performances.
She's primarily a mainstream adult film actress, but she has done a fair bit of WAM stuff, so I'd cite Kendra James. In everything I've seen of hers, she's actually convincing in the scene.
There was someone really early on in MessyGirl's history I liked a lot, but I'm blanking on her name. I know she was one of the few women to never (or only extremely rarely) even went topless, let alone nude...Linda, maybe? Always though that she came across as very genuine and could deliver a line of dialogue really well.
Miss Abigail, Ivy Rain and Star Nine are my top picks. All really great at projecting emotions, doing written or improv'd dialogue, and nailing the needed tone. Also she's only done a couple of wam videos thus far but Summer Fox is brilliant at all of this too.
I'd like to shoutout Summer Monroe - wherever she is right now - for her work with MPV. Not only one of the best when it came to acting in both playful, dramatic, and erotic QS/mud scenes, but also the physical performances she was a pro at, even in the toughest situations (like fully submerging in MPVBleck repeatedly :loveeyes.
If I remember correctly, I think one of her hobbies was scuba diving so she was very experienced with breath control, while also having the physique perfect for both swimming in the ocean as well as in pits of various viscus substances for long periods. She was the best of both worlds for both verbal and physical acting, while also understanding the appeal of the fetish and finding her own enjoyment in it.
She was just built different!
All this cake, there must be a princess somewhere.
I agree with a number of the choices above. I'd also like to add into the mix here The Man and the Wife's model Courtney, who is easily one of the best WAM actresses around, and her frequent scene partner Melody, who is very nearly as good. While I'm thinking of it, I find The Wife, Ellie, and Lilly all to be quite good at delivering credible acting performances too.
I don't wanna toot my own horn here but I think I have a four way tie between Bella Luxx, Calisa, Mandii and Lexi. If there was any women that I need to act a role of pure animosity and make it sell, it's those four, hands down.

These are amazing, high quality pictures. You should toot your own horn!

Hell YES! Everyone should be up voting this comment
I'm disappointed that no-one has mentioned Honeysuckle here. Her "faux horrified" reactions to the various predicaments we put her in are second to none, and she's brilliant at a whole range of wam looks, from excited, to feeling sneaky, to meekly accepting, to quite erotic.
A lot of talent out there. SlapstickStuff has a a good number of great WAM actresses-- I really like Julie, for example. But I want to mention a model from back in the day-- Sara from Messygirl. I really like a look of resignation from a model who has endured the humiliation of a bunch of mess. The slow boil. And I think Sara was really good at that type of thing. One of my fave models and one that does not (at least it seems to me) get a lot of mention nowadays. She is great.
