The cartoon? I haven't seen that in years. Are these new episodes?
Yes, this is the 2015 series - basically a reboot. It's actually pretty good, and I've been binge watching it on iPlayer today
The main difference between that and the 1980s series is that everyone is anthropomorphic, i.e. the cast are effectively human size rather than having a tiny base hidden under a paving slab. They've also got a higher budget, so they don't have to rely on fights in the dark (where you can just see eyeballs moving around the screen).

My favourite cost-saving measure from the original series was Danger Mouse talking with his hand over his mouth (or his mouth being just below the car windscreen) so they didn't have to animate the lip sync!
Well, according to my Sky planner, Zoe Ball's on the show next week. Obviously, for those of us of a certain age in the UK (which I'm assuming most on this thread are, going by the references to the original Danger Mouse), that's potentially amazing.
However...
From the way it was trailered at the end of this week's show it seems to be part of a clip about "the stars of Strictly", which makes me wonder if she'll be physically present or instead in a pre-recorded sequence, which of course would rule out being gunged.
I've set it to record, so I'll wait until it's over and then jump to the end to see if she was or not. I don't think I could bear to keep an eye on it throughout the morning, see (in theory) that she was part of the gunge vote...and then stay clean. If Zoe doesn't get messy then I'd rather just leave it there and not know any more about it, and so avoid having to rue the missed opportunity...
Annabelle Davies lost the shopping trolley game, so she got pied. At the end, two people got gunged: her and Connor Lawson. (There was a vote between the two of them and the two presenters.)

Hopefully somebody will throw these scenes up on Youtube!?!

Chris Stark is the guest in the studio and so will be most likely part of the vote. Think it might be Jonny Nelson's time though.
Oh well, it was a nice idea. As I said in my post, I did wonder if it might be something like that. Darn.
Pixie Lott is on the show but not a option to be gunged this week unfortunately. But there is a female could Shelby who be gunged.
To make it worse pixie Lott could have been lied if she lost but the idiot bloke lost and got pied by her. Annoying

Yeah, Pixie Lott and some teen actor were playing the shopping trolley game this week. A yellow foam pie sandwich in waiting for the loser, and she...won. The teen actor got pied. Very frustrating.

That looked fixed to me to be honest and I think the guys going to get gunged hence why they have put him in a silly outfit and keep saying "Isaiah has had bad morning"
I'm 99.9% sure he will get gunged. Only allows you to do one vote online if you go online and type Saturday mashup gunge vote in google will take you where you can vote

I'm not so fussed on the gunging to be honest, obviously it would be better if the actress got it though.
Pixie Lott though, man. Her getting pied is literally fantasy-level stuff. That's probably the one and only chance gone.
Indeed what a missed chance, but I'm sure it was fixed after she was talking about going straight to her dads 60th party.
Shelby got gunged, excellent gunning she looked like she hated it! She seemed like she really thought the bloke was going to get it which made it even better
Ok so Pixie avoided the pie sandwich and the gunge, however it wasn't a set up. There is basically a 50/50 chance of either player getting pied so the anticipation involved was brilliant...actually an anything can happen type of thing. So she won and the guy lost, what I liked about it all was that she got to pie the loser guy, and as she did said that she'd always wanted to do this. She pied him, and laughed and mocked him, basically a perfect girl pieing guy moment (which I'm massively in to btw).
They really need to start getting some better quality guests. It's great for those who like male wam but it's been pretty poor on the female front. Looks like it's dominated again by even more men next week.

I agree. It's easy to forget, given we've been getting our WAM from UMD for years now, that this was always the frustration of mainstream slapstick on NHP or GYOB, etc. And when the BBC do finally bring back a bit of mess for the first time in years...we're back where we started, with men dominating.
Yes, I know. Those of us who like to see women messy are spoilt for choice on here and always have been, so perhaps I shouldn't protest too much. However, the one thing UMD can't do, but TV can, is to arrange the gunging of a gorgeous actress or TV presenter. That's why it's so frustrating.
Funny, really. The BBC is one of the most politically correct, equality and diversity box-ticking organisations on the planet, except when it comes to who gets messy...
Though I am obviously pleased with the selection so far I do agree that a mix of guests would be better for the program and certainly to maintain WAM harmony. I suppose I see it from the opposite perspective with all the excellent female producers its nice to have some fresh male WAM content. I also see the advantage that someone at CBBC at least seems comfortable with the idea of the gunge scene in that they are at least sharing it online.
As a community maybe we need to be more creative and find a way to appeal to a broad church in getting the more aesthetically pleasing actors and personalities to appear on amateur content. There seem to be a fair few YouTube personalities who seem to be able to do this site successfully albeit without the mess, yet we know from the ALS ice bucket challenge and the gunge for teenage cancer that folks can be persuaded.
In the meantime I would say it will balance out eventually as the series goes on and at least Scrambled is providing some female presenter gunging albeit without the diversity of mashup.
