It's got potential. For a start it's fun (Hacker!).
Excellent pie sandwich for the vlogger girl, and even though Backshall got the gunge this week (no goggles, no protective clothing!), it seems like between the voting and all, it's going to weight towards the main guest getting it. So we'll see what happens next week when Pixie Lott is the main guest...

I was thinking the same. Pixie Lott. Appearing on a show with lots of mess. Be still my beating heart.
I saw some of it this morning, and it was a show that was slickly done, if a little tentative. But I wonder if this is going to work in 2017. A 2-hour show with no ad breaks is going to keep the attention of the kids? I very much doubt that. If it is going to work, then they have to axe some of the cartoons and whatever the drama thing was they showed and have more guests. The young teens aren't going to watch dangermouse, and the six year olds aren't going to want to watch some American live-action drama and who is dating who in some dance school (or whatever it was). More guests will attract more audience by default, but the same two guests all morning is likely to get people switching off.
My guess is that there will be interest for the first week in audience numbers, but that it will lose numbers by the end of the series and never be seen again. And that is a real shame.

I tuned in specifically for Danger Mouse...
From what I saw of the presenting, it looked good -- self-deprecating, irreverent. Doubt they'll be able to get bigger guests so early on in the series. One thing it reminded me of was the "new" Top Gear from 2002, with barely any studio audience and a lot of dead air. If the BBC give it time, it'll grow, maybe not to the levels of Live & Kicking in the 90s, but enough to stand on its own.
Surprised they got their guests messy, even with foam pies. If a load of hetty guys are going to be getting up early and sitting through this kids show hoping to see a young woman get gunged, they're probably going to be disappointed.
I don't think Pixie will be appearing next week as she will likely be a musical guest and the musical guest next week is JP cooper. I think because they mention she's going to be on, she will be on next week or week after. The only chance for the musical guest to get messy is a pie in the face.
I think next week's guests will be the dumping ground stars. Annabel Davis (Warwick Davies' daughter) and connor lawson. I think there might be a health and safety issue with a less than average sized person getting gunged so Connor will be the one up for gunging. Plus he plays quite a mean character on the show so people will probably vote for him as Payback for his character's actions. Here's the only full body pic I could find of him looking quite moody as his character.
It's a hit with kids too as cbbc on their website has a feature where kids can add shows to their favourites and it shows how many kids have added that show to their favourites. Normally for a first show the show gets round about 100 favourites but Mash up got 300 favourites in the first day alone so kids are enjoying it. Let's hope it will continue long enough so the kids watching could create their own saturday morning shows

What!?! Since when can't short people be gunged?!?
Anyway, was a good hunting today, and Nadine Coyle is on next week so fingers crossed for a repeat of the gunging the other girl from Girls Aloud got all those years back (memory fading as to her name...)
Good gunging of the female presenter at the end. The Male presenter took a weak pie in the face, and one of the Male guests got an excellent pie sandwich! Good stuff!
I feel like the male presenter is begging to be gunged - bragging about being invincible... shame it wasnt this week as his nice smart shirt would have been a good target

He will get it in good time. The longer the anticipation...
