The new gunge tank valve Mk2 is the new and updated version of the Mk1, we went back to the drawing board and redesigned the valve from the ground up taking on board feedback from our customers and making improvements of our own. including: - 86mm hole size, you can now use a common ceiling downlight Holesaw to cut the perfect hole in your vessel for the valve. also an increased valve diameter means more gunge flow.
- better internal shaping, we have redesigned the internal shape of the valve with a special geometry to improve flow.
- A less objectionable colour, yes its black now.
- stronger valve springs, this helps create a better seal and means the valve can close faster and more reliably.
- no screw fittings, we have re designed the upper brace so that it can be more easily removed. simple twist lock mechanism means you can remove the valve head for easier cleaning.
- better sealing, no longer are we using the O-rings like on the Mk1 we now use a specially designed TPU seal that seats into the valve head.
- better nozzle collet, now with finger grooves to make changing nozzles easier with messy hands.
so as you can see the Mk2 is all round our best valve to date, we've put a lot of effort into making this the best design we could and would like to thank all our customers for their amazing feedback, with your great input we hope it'll be the best for your gunge tank project.
as always the gunge tank valve comes with 4 nozzle options to give you lots of great ways to explore getting messy.
Love this, very keen on getting one even though I have no way of hanging a bucket at the moment but it feels like having the valve ready when I do would be best.
Just curious on one thing, what holds the valve in the bucket, as looking at the pics, there's no external locking ring or nut at all. Is it just interference fit in the hole?

You are correct it's an interface fit into the hole. Sealant is applied to the flat flange plate and that holds it all together. I was going to put a locking thread on it but not knowing what people's applications would be I couldn't decide on a way that would work for everyone.

As owner of a MK1 the flange is large enough for a good bead of sealant it's not going anywhere

Hope your mk1 is giving you tons of great gungings.
I'd just like to say thank you to everyone that has ordered a valve already. And for those that missed the batch, don't worry the printer is working hard to make more. We couldn't leave anyone without the opportunity to have their own gunge tank.
Also you can now check out the video of the Mk2 in action.
My lovely wife took a seat in the tank again so you can all see the tank working. We used each of the nozzles and the big unrestricted flow. Hope you enjoy.
Says "Sorry, this item is sold out." Let me know when you have it available again - I'm planning on booting up making videos again and this would be fun to use.
And thanks to the wife for being a willing test subject and getting gunged so many times for the demo video (awaiting aproval)

Yes they are currently out of stock but the printer is running as fast as it can to get a nothet batch out, so hopefully you won't be waiting too long to get yours.
Heroic.
Thank you so much, high praise from a master of the art.
