I have tried to make gunge/slime with water, flour and liquid soap but I cannot get the mixture right, normally too many flour balls. Does anybody know an easier way without it costing much?
Use a food processor, mix the flour with oil first, then when it's a thick and smooth consistency add boiling water. The hot water cooks the starch and, together with the oil, stops it forming flour balls. You can continue adding hot water until all the starch is cooked, then add some cold water to thin it out and cool it down.
Our Gunge is only 9.99 for 3 buckets of an thick, ready coloured easy to mix gunge. Alternatively we also sell the bulk powder at 10.99 for 1kg which is ample for around 60 litres of uncoloured gunge. If you don't mind mixing it a bit more, preferably with an electric mixer then we are clearing some Carboxy Methyl Cellulose gunge at just 7.99 per KG. At our prices is it really worth the hassle of trying to mix flour and water ?
