I think some people use emulsion paint to gunge with, even tho I've seen it recommended on other sites/blogs/forums that it shouldn't be used. Just the normal stuff you get from any hardware or DIY store. Can someone give me a definitive answer - is it ok to use it, & if so are there any do's or don't's (ie does it need to be washed off straight away)?
I get messy with emulsion all the time and have never had a problem with it.
Water it down, don't pour it in your eyes and don't eat it. It's water-based so will wash off your skin (and won't stain your bath if it's not a dark colour) easily, though you may need to shampoo your hair a few times.
I would never use anything that toxic especially when there are safe alternatives that are really easy to make at home. A relative of mine has a slowly spreading paralysis due to chemical exposure. That was due to pesticides but still I don't think it's worth the risk to intentionally expose yourself to something known to be toxic.
@LeilaHazlett I totally agree. A lot of thing people mess with I think are questionable. Your skin is your largest organ, and saturating yourself in poison does do something. I would assume it is not good, either.
If not covered in frosting, are you really living?
As previously stated, it's not something I would use either, as I have enough on worrying about staining the bath tub, never mind the potential risk to your well being! Grab some custard, cake batter etc. At least that stuff smells good!
