I was wondering if WAM models have something about them, before they even get messy, that make them the kind of girl we just want to pie in the face or cover in custard.

I noticed on other threads that the same kinds of girls always get the most votes on the "Who's your favourite WAM model?" threads. Although there are some classics like Ariel, and Kym, who both in their own ways have created massive WAM portfolios catering for just about every known type of mess, it does seem that quantity affects how much people love certain models. Girls like Lexi (Messygirl), and Blondie (Piefightgirls), have made a big impression on a lot of people in this community even though they're no longer making videos.

For me, how hot a WAM video is definitely has a lot to do with how attractive the girl is before she even gets messy. When I see a certain girl is in a video it'll make me check it out straight away cos I know that girl is hot (for example, I check out every video I see Cali Logan is in).

Is is simply personal preference, or is there a particular trait or characteristic that these girls have in common that makes them look so great when they're being slathered with mess? Or is it simply that they're generally pretty and they seem to like getting pied?

For me I know I love long hair, and a pretty face, but that in it's own right doesn't make a kick-ass WAM model...

Cali has that naughty look in her eyes - that may have something to do with it, as Kym also does a little bit, but on the flip side, Blondie and Lexi both looked as innocent as kittens...

For the most sales from casual viewers, sheer conventional physical attractiveness makes the cash register ring.

But for staying power and long-term sales growth, the girl needs a great personality and has to enjoy what she does.

It's rare to find both qualities in a single model.

In our experience anyway, our less attractive models (relatively speaking) don't sell very well.

Our best-selling model is Megan. Even with her breast implants, which some people don't prefer, her good looks get people to buy.

appreciate the question but it's a bit silly, non? WAMmers like seeing people who are attractive to them getting messy. Trying to slice and dice it where people you like to see are somehow self-evidently "just more attractive," or whatever doesn't really do anything but deprecate other models and amateurs who don't look like the women you list but who for some of us are the definition of *HOT*! I'm not going to compile my own list because it would be equally problematic - and anyway I've enjoyed videos featuring the women you list, some of them are classics. Plus, I think it's important to the UMD as a community that participants here don't have to be in the frame of mind where they're expecting to be evaluated and judged based on appearance - yeah that's part of the marketing of pornography that's a big part of the material here but this is also a hangout space and I think it's good to try and make it feel like one. Obviously not saying your post was intended to make anyone feel uncomfortable or unwelcome, but I for one come to kink spaces in part to experience a kind of judge-free environment where you can let it all hang out, raise your freak flag, all of that stuff. Just wonder what this kind of conversation looks like to a newbie considering the fetish, just stepping tentatively in the room so to speak. As to the personality thing - obviously, personality (or in varying degrees, stage presence/professionalism as performers/knowing what buttons they're pushing, all welcome IMO) matter a lot! As has been said a million times, it's a huge turnoff to see a video where someone just isn't enjoying it (unless that's part of the plot of the scene). I think the sexiest videos are probably the ones where the people involved have that happy glow of indulging their favorite sexy pastime. I'm not delving into the subject too terribly much but I do know my sales like quadrupled when I had white/blonde hair. My hair is naturally blonde and people seen to prefer that but a.) with white hair it's SO easy to ruin the color with things like paint or anything dyed, tomato-based, etc. b.) my hair was, thankfully, soft and healthy, but it's hard to keep it perfectly that color. I mean, I never wanted it to be a yellow/brassy box blonde, so I had to do a lot of upkeep so it wouldn't look trashy.

So now I change my hair color as often as my underwear haha. Just no more white because of the limitations of mess, even though I LOVED it.

It's personal to the beholder. One producer's idea of "conventionally attractive" might never get the attention of customers who disagree with the assessment.


In the old days, before the UMD started, there were a small number of producers. Most of these producers concentrated on a "type" that interested them. It was really boring for some of us. Around the time the UMD started, not coincidentally, different sites started popping up and knowingly or unknowingly catered to different tastes. Thanks Messmaster!


I, for example, like sites that feature curvy brunettes with fresh faces. I don't know why this is my preference. Might as well ask why I like looking at women rather than men. I don't remember making any conscious decisions about such things. It's just what makes me happy. Messygirl has been good to me. You mention Lexi from there, but for me, it's all about Vicky, Tracy, Mai, Kim...it's a great site. I mention this to point out that even on the same site, not everyone has the same favorite models.

I also like producers that provide a variety of different models, like Gooeygirls UK.
They have a bunch of models that are great, some that fall into my usual preferences, and some that surprise me how much I like them (a few not very curvy girls that just enchant me for reasons I can't fathom). Not even a single viewer is necessarily predictable. This might be that "strong personality" thing...I like the way that Jessica looks when she's giving or receiving pies--amazing expressions. Our WOTD today, Layla, is also a master of translating personality to the camera, although she has plenty of other assets that also get my attention.

But I've been around long enough to know that different models get the attention of different people. I always try to support models and producers who are doing something I like, when possible. Just in case my idiosyncrasies are the tiny feather added to the balance that makes it worthwhile to continue.

In short, there are lots of "looks" that are successful. One wouldn't know until trying.

As much as people say a model's personality is more attractive than looks content of women who are thin, blond, and/or have big tits sells better (and that's not restricted to the wam world). Human evolution has shaped the way people pick sexual partners. Long legs indicates good nutrition during childhood (this is an indicator of general health), light hair is an indication of youth, and large boobs...well that's an obvious one. Sorry to get geeky about the question but there really is a good deal of science behind being a successful model.

At the risk of being silly, "totally covered in goo"?

My personal taste is for practical clothes and short hair - a female marine who was into getting messy in her fatigues would be my dream girl many times over! I also prefer flat chests, have never understood the whole boob thing, for me it's legs and bums that rule.

But in terms of successful sales for female models, it's a combination of long hair, youth, traditional good looks, and long legs that seems to nail it, just as in the mainstream fashion world. A willingness to have that beautiful hair messed up definitely helps too - scenes that are only messy from the neck down don't do as well as full coverage ones do, regardless of the model's relative looks.

While each person is of course entitled to their personal tastes, I do suspect that the practical clothes and short hair may put you in a minority! However, I too don't object to a flat chested girl, and totally agree that legs and bums are the way forward!

Omg, this thread is to funny. I can honestly say good since of humor always wins. Looks might get some one to buy something the first time but what about the second?
