I HAVE to decompress. Even if I'm not in all films
I'm usually prepping for weeks before.
Days before I'm running around like a mad man.
I'm mixing days ahead of time to help with time management.
I'm making sure all orders are in.
I'm emailing and calling customers to make sure all desires are met.
I am hustling for the gals if someone just dropped their custom (like this weekend, one of Taylor's highest paid customs? Spoke on phone texted and all and he dropped offI had to pay her out of my grocery money)
That shit is stressful. You already have plans and they travel expecting things.
Cool for us we got to do whatever we wanted so it's fine.

Anyway, that's tip of the iceberg.
Then? Shoot days come and along with everyone else being comfortable?
Making sure everything is done properly? I am making sure we have fun!

So? Today I'm decompressing as I was cleaning till about 6 pm last night when I finally got to sit down for the first time since around 5 am.

I had a BLAST BUUUUT. I do feel the need to decompress!
My body aches from heavy messes carried. Trash taking out. Lifting insane amounts of mess on MYSELF. Running at times. Sooooo many cold showers bc I wanna make sure the gals have hot water.

Do you all do this? After lots of back to back messes? Or even a big session with yourself or your partner?

My customers are real cool this go round but I've had times they want their stuff literally the next day.
I let them know that yes it's done. But I need days to get back to reality. To do my normal routine and just take a minute:

I can totally sympathize, Jayce. Years ago, when I used to produce pie vids, it was like that for me. There is so much work involved behind the scenes to make a successful video. I'm not sure people really get it until they do it for themselves. I've tried to come up with a formula, and I'd say just for a "simple" one-girl pie shoot, you're looking at a ratio of one hour of work for one minute of video. It's likely more for more complicated shoots.

Oftentimes, after a shoot, I didn't have the energy to even rewatch what I had just shot. I'd take a few days off and go do normal stuff and then come back to it.

So yes, take the time to decompress and recuperate. Totally normal, IMO.

I know you're decompressing when you're using paragraph breaks!

I totally agree! It is a lot of fun to do the actual messy part and watch/edit it later but there is a lot of work that takes place behind the scenes. We have a hard time just fitting in 1 maybe 2 shoots a week because it is really exhausting back breaking work. But we do it because we love it. I think that most producers have that same direction.

I don't produce yet but today I'm realizing I need to focus so much more on myself.

i took 3 days off training before filming bc i was running non stop to get everything ready.....down to making sure the sheets were changed for the girls. they had clothes and the fridge was stoked....the whole rip. plus, doing life.

but, i DID have some fun mixing new "mystery substances"
we had my fave photographer in for the second day so we did a whole new scene that we just made up that turned out insanely beautiful.

anyway.....lots more about this weekend but my point?
I had gotten my body so toned up and training again...took days off to prep and im so mad at myself!

this weekend was really nice as far as the company. we all vibed really well and I had prepped enough over days and they both helped me so much with cleanup on the first day? we ACTUALLY had like 2 hours to sit, eat, and watch some movie with that fuck tard, tom cruise as a rock star or something? (sorry i hate tom cruise, lol) anyway, we were falling asleep on the couch but we all made a point to "hang out" afterwards even though it was late....and actually enjoy eachothers company.

I usually make movies my unwind from everything. Just relax with a nice laid back movie. I share the Tom Cruise hatred, that dude is a whole new level of crazy. I hate that some of the actors I like have done movies with him forcing me to have them. How he still has a career after that Oprah episode is beyond me. I thought he would be on his Scientology spaceship already headed for theon or wherever those nut cases go.

To echo what WildThang said, no one in their right mind would/should ever produce WAM unless you have a passion for creating and for WAM itself. And as mentioned by Jayce, there is so much to it: the script/setup/ idea brainstorming, planning the dates with any of the girls involved, buying the supplies/outfits/props, the prep, the actual scene, the CLEANUP, the post cleanup cleanup, the laundry, in our case putting the first floor of our house back together, the editing, the selecting screenshots/writing a good description/marketing yourself.

We shoot specifically on either Friday nights, Saturday afternoons, or Sunday afternoons. At very specific times. Why? Because we can only shoot when our now 4 year old son naps. We prep while he's awake. He's got autism so it makes life pretty interesting. One day he won't nap anymore, and the plan for that will be having either Wife or Lilly take him out for the afternoon while we shoot.

WHERE we shoot is our carpeted dining room; so the night before we move 6 chairs out of the room and move the table to the other side of the room, tarp every wall, tarp the floor, put up a backdrop stand/backdrop, lay the 'main' tarp, and lay a tarp path to the bathroom.

Decompression for myself would be playing online games like World of Warcraft or Diablo 2. simply watching TV or a movie, listening to music, yardwork.

Wife and I don't get to do 'just for us' mess as often anymore, but when we do...it's either a quick small thing OR...like we did for my birthday this past February...we go all out....

We both took off from work that day, and I dressed up like I was going to work. I brought my son over to my mother in law (who watches him during the week while we are both at work), and then went straight home. We had the dining room cleared out like it would be for a shoot...but instead we had an absolutely crazy rated-R love fest. And since a mess of that magnitude for sexy times is rare now-a-days, I got it on video for ourselves.

But yeah, WAM production is a LOT of work. But definitely a labor of love.

Seriously, you should post like a time lapse of you setting up and taking down. You can write this stuff down here, and you can get other producers to chime in like how Wildthing and Man and Wife did, and still so many people will be like tl;dr. They'll still be completely oblivious to how much work is done.

Then there's the fact that you often are doing this BY YOURSELF. You're not a husband and wife combo, and if you got anyone helping you, it's usually your paid help. It's pretty rare someone is helping you set up or take down out of the goodness of their heart.

I have worked enough theater productions as a Tech Director and lighting designer that I can tell you. You need time to recharge. If you don't take time off for you, you will burn yourself out.

It's a pain to clean up a self wam even with covering everything in plastic. I would hate to clean up a full on wam movie like you create. That has to be incredibly hard.

Yes, absolutely, not even just to produce a scene, but just to enjoy for sex, it's a lot of work! This is one of the most time consuming fetishes. There's prep work, set-up, then clean up immediately afterwards when you're exhausted from having really crazy sex. And the next day is always a day to do absolutely NOTHING, and just lay on the couch all fucking day long. It's awesome

To watch you mess jayce I would clean up every time. Your work is amazing and I have always loved what you did and do. I know some people can be overwhelming with demands and such but to just watch you go have fun and do whatever feels good is to me the best. I can just imagine how you feel and how much pain it is to clean and you just want to lay there and relax so I completely understand where you and everyone else come from with this post.

I had a blast during filming! Don't get me wrong! Sometimes things go the way they are supposed to. I have to make sure everything is in order. Shoots go in order of who needs to leave when....who may need a break for a bit and all that. I don't get breaks. All the girls and my camera guy are like "why don't you sit down?" Well yall....I kinda can't or yall all and myself are gonna be up till 2 am doing this....or I can stay focused and move onto the next one! I get pretty manic (which works in my favor) bc this go round? We tried to take our time with each shoot. Which was much more enjoyable. I find and the girls find they really get the time to enjoy it. They enjoyed themselves THOROUGHLY lemme tell ya! Think we found some kinks they didn't know they had! Ha,!

Tom Cruise fan here (of movies, not personally). I'm eagerly awaiting Mission: Impossible 7 and Top Gun: Maverick. That said, I'm an even bigger fan of you, Jayce! The dedication required to put out these scenes in staggering and cannot be commended enough.

I can't imagine doing back to back messes...personally for myself, a session where I'm in the tub is chore enough, and that's a little drop of water compared to the ocean levels you do. Sure, it's fun, but it's not something I could do regularly. You're a goddess Jayce haha. And all you other producers are god tier levels as well. I can see having to decompress, I have to do it every night after work, but that's a different kind of mess.

Haha I feel you. You know that huge cake I made for my wife to jump in... After building that thing for hours and cleaning it up for hours I was so done. Like it took a month or so to even be in the mood to have a scale session again. Sometimes it's exhausting, so try to take it easy when you can and enjoy the moments you get.

It is a ton of work but it's always worth it. I know my wife and I pretty much stopped wamming at home and get a cheap motel because it's less worry some to clean, however that comes with it's own issues the last time we got a motel the only available room was on the second floor, no elevator we hauled all out stuff up stairs, and down the hall, then set up the room, played cleaned and then hauled it all back to the car and dumpster.

he got a room on the third floor and i got there before him......i had TWO of those racks? literally hundreds of pounds of mess in tupperware bins STACKED. i had pre mixed mystery substance which is insane heavy and alll liquid messes. oh my god. it was insanity! whew! i had to haul it all up, set up and clean up. which luckily he helped me a bit with the cleanup, lord it was crazy!

we had zero plans to shoot that.....we didnt pack a tripod or anything but i got in there and we found a ROCK to put the camera on....and we went at it. my god. it was so fun. most of my sex scenes were either an easier mess or something we had time to do so it made it way more fun.

Late to the party, but thought I'd chime in with my two cents.

I definitely feel the need to decompress, after most things TBH but a WAM session being one of them.

I definitely feel a different dynamic when filming vs when getting messy for the fun of it. When filming I am always stressed about whether this looks sexy, or if I'm still in frame, is the camera still rolling, if something goes wrong whether I just write off the entire scene or if I push through etc.

The clean-up itself is, somewhat unusually, part of my time to decompress. I find the whole process to be therapeutic in a weird way.

I tend to split it between a quick shower to remove the bulk and warm up, then clean-up everything else whilst still partially messy, and then a final but proper shower where I can really wash my hair and put on lotion after and just pamper myself.

I find this method at least allows me to not have to worry about splatting slop over myself whilst scooping it into buckets and so on.

Traveling to a session definitely adds an extra element of stress that I need to recover from. So whilst I find the clean-up to be not too bad, I do definitely then need to spend some alone time to build up my energy again.

Being on the spectrum means that I only have so much social energy, so whilst being alone and left to clean is great, being with people can take it's toll, despite those I've met being super lovely and it in no way being anything they've done or not done.
