Hey guys! I might be doing a WAM session pretty soon using chocolate syrup, with which I don't have any (WAM) experience. I've only really used pies and cake batter slime.
The gungee requested to use A LOT of chocolate syrup, so I'm looking for some tips. Is there a way to thin it out slightly to make it go further, or is it best just to shell out the money and use use it straight?
I also have had some bad luck recently with Cool Whip pies. I'm gonna run the idea of shaving cream by the gungee, see if that flies.
I can also tell you that toweling off with paper towels (the blue, cloth-like shop towels from the auto supply store work especially well) before you get into the shower makes clean-up much, much easier.
Once you've gotten off the bulk of the syrup with the towels, the rest washes off easily in the shower with a little soap (and a lot of warm/hot water).
there's no need to do that at all. it's all water soluble and comes off easily (as is anything syrupy) better to just shower then end up with sticky chocolately paper towels to dispose of
it's one of the easiest things there is to get clean from

Words right out of my mouth.
Syrups are sugar based, sugar dissolves with warm water.
A house brand of Syrup versus a name brand will be thinner, although, as someone's already mention, it's all water miscible (as we say in the paint industry ) so everything washes off easily with warm soapy water in the shower. Also, it helps to keep the syrup at room temperature or above (no higher than 70F) to make it runnier.
P.S. When you take your shower, will you please wear a pair of dress socks, film it, and make it a custom? It'll be worth every delicious penny to some of your wet socks fans
Thanks for the responses everyone! I wasn't really concerned about clean up, but good to know that it's relatively easy.
My original plan was to empty the syrup into a bucket that I could pour out onto the gungee, rather than use the bottle to do the pouring. I wasn't going to dump it all at once but do a slow pour. I wanted to make sure I had enough syrup to make it a decent length gunging, and syrup seems to be a little pricier in terms of volume than the cake batter I'm used to. I was hoping I could cheat by thinning it out a bit (maybe 2/3 syrup to 1/3 water), because I find longer gungings tend to cover up "mistakes" better. I focus on facial coverage and I think it's a shame when I fail to get an adequate amount.

I'm not sure what you mean by "have it at an angle." You mean to pour it out more slowly as opposed to dumping it all at once? I do plan to do that.

Haha, I'm pretty sure I don't have any wet socks fans.
