Very dissatisfied with the elimination of the "Male Forum". Bring it back please. I don't care to have to wade through all the female stuff as I have absolutely NO interest in females.
Is this forum topic really necessary? This is a free site that MM works really hard on. If it is so horrific for you to wade accidentally see a female in a post then by all means, go start your own site. Nobody can ever be pleased all the time. You are now doing what countless hetero guys used to do if they saw a messy guy interrupt their stream of ladies. Can't we all just stop complaining and enjoy what is out here for us...for free?

The Male Wam forum is still here. You get it by selecting the "Male" bubble. If you see something that's not male wam, please let us know by flagging it, and I'll get to it as soon as I can.
The Male setting does include posts that are marked Coed, as there is male wam content there, so that's why it is shown. It also includes posts marked N/A, as they are for everyone.
There are several backend reasons why the forums need to be organized the way they are, but which posts are shown to you can be discussed, and I'm always open to suggestions.

Thanks for that. I really do want everybody to be able see only what they want. That's the entire reason for the change in the first place. I'll keep refining things so that the site fits you like a glove, but I've got lots of other people who want something other than what you want. Just have a little patience with me, and I'll get it right in time.
I can appreciate that there might be technical reasons, reasons which I likely won't understand, as to why the change was made. There were probably others too, I don't know.
@MM What I would suggest, however, is perhaps making the preference buttons in the top right much more bolder. The OP obviously didn't notice them, and by looking at a couple of previously popular threads imported from the Male forum it's pretty clear that others have missed them too. The male aspect of the community feels like it's dried up somewhat!
My only "problem" with the change otherwise is that I'm not fond of how the preferences are site-wide, just because I'm the sort of person who "floats" between wanting to check out male and female material. But this is a minor, minor quibble. "Solving" it is really just a case of pushing a few more buttons more and then.
As an aside, I think it's a bit silly for someone to just say "make your own site if you don't like it". WAM is a pretty niche interest to begin with, yet MM and co have cultivated a pretty strong community for it over many years with UMD. The benefits of this website would not come about just like that in a new format, so I think it's in everyone's happiest interests to listen to the occasional suggestion. That way, more and more people can enjoy the bit with all the mess.

Now that it's all in place, I'll be updating things like the look of the buttons in the future. The prefs are site-wide for simplicity, but if the community wanted, I'd consider splitting off the forum's prefs to be separate. For now, the All setting will give you male and female wam. Also, now that the posts are tagged, it wouldn't be out of the question for me to to set up custom forum filters that people could use to personalize their experience.
