I've been thinking about something while working on a recent photo project.

A lot of WAM content seems to lean toward comedy, slapstick, and chaos.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with that, but I'm curious about the other end of the spectrum.

Do you think there's room for more fashion/editorial inspired WAM.

Things like:

-Luxury and glamour

-Visual storytelling

-atmosphere and mood

-close-up details and textures

-mystery and sensuality

rather than focusing primarily on shock value.

Curious to hear everyone's thoughts on this style and whether you'd like to see more of it in the community.

There's room for anything in WAM if you find it compelling enough (within reason--many have tested that theory in all the wrong ways). I think the biggest hurdle is just costs. People have been going for "glamorously dressed women" and scenic muds locales, dramatic backstories, and uncomfortably close closeups since forever. It might not always look the best because it turns out getting genuine details right costs a lot of money, but it's clearly been an ambition for many a producer.

If you can see it, go for it.

Glamour WAM is really my main focus whenever I do a custom video. I need messy high heels, fancy ladies, and nice makeup and jewelery to make it the most arousing for me.

Cost is definittely a hurdle but I find it's well worth it.

im all about the aesthetics with my pies more than the actual mess they produce. if I don't feel like they could be there to be eaten its no fun! the prettier the pies (and the cherry on top) the better

Thats very similar to how Iike it. For me it's even more intriguing seeing everything before the mess

100% agree. There's something about the fact it's suppose to be eaten, but instead smashed in someone's face.

Actually these are really nicely made! Almost reminds me of a 'clip art' style pie with the perfect symmetry.

Honestly, I've drifted away from produced WAM over the last few years because so little of it genuinely appeals to me anymore. The clothes come off too quick, the focus is on the WAM rather than the models, their clothing, and their enjoyment, it switches to messy sex way too fast, the "luxury" is mostly imagination (women who look like they rolled out of bed and put on a worn-out generic prom dress described as "perfect hair and makeup, wearing a beautiful ballgown"), etc.

I'm not intending to insult any producers with what I said above. It's just the pattern I've seen recently that has pushed me away. Producing is expensive, and the type of scene I like is even more expensive.

My primary source of WAM during my teen years other than fleeting moments on TV or in movies were the rare wet or messy fashion editorials in magazines, so they greatly influenced what I'm interested in. I loved the older Eromaxx stuff too, where they started with glamorous models acting out a scene, and that slow(-ish?) buildup to the WAM was one of their biggest draws for me.

Shock value does nothing for me. It's the glamour, the storytelling (or as close to it as we can get in a fetish-oriented scene), the mood and atmosphere, the whole package that I really enjoy.

The landscape of WAM is certainly converging on certain themes that are widely popular and reliably sell. It's more than understandable and nobody is to blame except for maybe the invisible hand...

That said, I love seeing (and making, if I ever have the means...) content that focuses on the appeal of WAM that lies in the unknown: What is that beautiful woman (or man!) doing there? Why is that bakery overflowing with cream pies? The build-up is just as much fun as the mess itself (see: Any of the very many threads on this site dedicated to woman holding pies, and the like), and both deserve their time and place!

If it is a story line that you are seeking, you could do worse than take a peek at the videos and photos of the CustardCouple. They invariably include a story in pictures and text in their sessions. This would include glamour and retro scenes.

I love creating AI wam videos with huge amounts of mess. So to add to your questions, one of mine might be: "What is that cement-mixer filled with chocolate cake batter doing pouring it's load into a vent in the wall of the modeling school, rather than the usual one at the bakery, next door?" The mind takes over, the bakery likely has a vat that gets filled with batter, while the modeling school is filled with models wearing attractive and stylish outfits.

So yes, for me I'd rather see the unpredictable rather than another "Pies to the face" video or "sit under the gunge tank" followed by vibrator play. Maybe the same thing sells again and again, but I love it when a producer introduces something entirely new and unique, which does happen from time to time.

I'm no minimalist, that's for sure. But I love all those things you mentioned.

As an image-maker I like close-up detail. Most of which gets cut out of the download edits. I'm still compelled to include chaos in abundance with style and decadence! Expensive wardrobe items and naughty things like thick cream and paint.

I also love monochrome/black and white wam images. But I think I'm on my own in this chiaroscuro sensibility.
