Interesting aspect to WAM this, but there are a few tunes people would instantly associate with getting messy, whether it's the honky tonk piano of three stooges style pie fights, or the theme music from your favourite messy game show.

I wondered if anyone ever uses music to add an extra dimension to their messy fun, and if so, what's your favourite?

I did once have a fun messy session stuffing cakes into my pants against the clock, and my one minute timer was the in game music from Funhouse!

I haven't but it's a great idea though and now because of your little tale I'm definitely going to try it next time i can. I've read loads of WAM fiction and I've never even thought about the music in the background it does add more depth in stories so it should make real life sessions even more fun. Especially if your going for a fun game show like session the fun house music is perfect or something similar.

Definitely going to have a think of some more that would fit with different types of sessions now.

I'd imagine that "Cover You In Oil" by AC/DC would work for... well, covering someone in oil. How about "Hang Me Out to Dry" by Cold War Kids for mudders?

Seriously though, I've never tried actual messing so I have no frickin' clue.

I had a custom done once that I had requested trance music too. Made the whole experience better.

I've used music before and have been planning to use it again in the near future. Moving to the beat can definately add to the excitment.

It depends & who you are with. If it was me, for example, any 80's/ 90's slow jam or anything with a smooth groove to it really sets the tone for a messy session.

The most elaborate WAM session I've ever had was with a woman who wanted silent movie-type music playing in the background the whole time -- it was one of those tit-for-tat "annoying customer at the bakery" scenarios that we've all seen in WAM videos. I don't know if the music really enhanced *my* experience, but it certainly enhanced hers, which paid off for me.

IMO Pantera is the best music to do anything to. But I guess it depends on what kind of mood you are trying to create. With wetlook videos I enjoy the sound of the water (either the shower running or splashing in the tub) so I would prefer no music or something relaxing like 1000 days by Tool. I tend to have very specific musical preferences and listen to a lot of things that most people don't enjoy so I haven't even thought of adding music to a video.

When your taste in music includes Pantera and Tool, I'd seriously consider it.

Does anyone know where to download silent movie style pie fight piano music? Like the music playing in the background from the old MFV Amanda explains it all?
I also remember from a TV slot on Splosh magazine, they had this sort of silly sounding trumpet music... I can only describe it as clown music... But it seemed to fit Splosh perfectly.
I think if it's not game show music, then I'd like some clowning style music.

my ex and i did some stuff involving honey while listening to the xx's self-titled album. the ears and face being covered muffles the sound a bit, but play the album loud enough to physically feel the bass. no exaggeration when i say that was one of the best days i ever had.

Is that who that was? It was a great theme with that custom. Good atmosphere is just as important to the work as when the person is doing.

agreed! i will be getting messy again in a couple of weeks after i heal! hit me up if you want me to do another for you! i havent talked to you in forever!! i love king kooba. I swear, getting messy to music makes it all the more fun to me if i am doing a messy thing by myself but not a lot of people dig the music i like and not a lot of people like music. even if it is low enough where you still hear everything else, they just dont dig it but, i do it as much as i can!
i do want to do one with all that crazy "pie throwing" "silly" type music. i know just what you are talking about! that is a MUST for us girls!! haha! we are nuttier than fruitcakes!
