Agree on first girl, though every one of them is super attractive.
Consistency IS great - it's like melted cake frosting slightly mixed with some kind of yogurt/creamy substance.
I love how overflowing and "gloppy" the pies were (although if you're a fan of crusts/"true pies", i'm sure disappointing). To me, as long as there's a full enough amount of substance on the plate, it counters the fact that it's just a pile of stuff on a plate.
I love how people have been asking this question about once a week for a year straight now... Between this (newer) show and the reliable Passa ou Repassa, folks can't get enough of the gooey Brazilian pies!
Maybe it's because it's a combo of real cream and frosting and MAAAYBE marshmallow... That only shows up on these South American shows and nowhere else??
Anyway, I've made several efforts to approximate the texture and consistency of these pies (SS134 Scene 2, SS141 Scene 4)... But based on sales, people do NOT like it when you come close but not exact! (I may keep trying, but it's a hard formula to nail.)
I will say I always/much prefer white pies to colored, but given that colored pies seems to be the rule vs the exception in foreign and particularly south-of-the-border mess, I was pleasantly into the scenes for what they are.
The consistency is good enough that I much prefer THESE colored pies to the buttercream ones in Wamtec stuff, which just kind of had this food-coloring-meets-oatmeal-cake quality that wasn't a huge favorite of mine (though they made quality stuff, don't get me wrong: All Pies TV was i think the first thing I ever bought from a WAM producer).
