what you guys think of amatuer girls doing slime or pie videos I mean girls like fiverr and pie zone since females from that store arent specifically models. I ask cause i think some from fiverr as amatuer do a good job getting pied and slimed.
I like a variety, and amateur girls are great. All my favorite models started off as amateur girls (don't most?) and there's nothing added really by their pro "status."
..."nothing added"...except to their bank accounts!
I've worked with "pro" models who came off as 'amateurs" (in a good way and bad way) and amateurs that looked "pro"...the problem with amateurs is that you can't take anything for granted; you have to explain everything (multiple times) and reassure them a lot, often having to coax them along to do the "right" thing (in terms of camera action)....verses a pro or experienced model that just "knows" what's expected of her and how to pull it off (and sometimes has their own suggestions that work well and make the effort a collaboration)...personally -- solely in terms of hassles at or during the shoot -- I prefer professional models (that's any model who has been paid, knows to show up on time, how to communication, and how to cooperated on set, etc.)
There's no cut-and-dried line between "pro" and "amateur" in WAM modeling.... or ANY modeling, honestly. (I suppose you're a "pro model" when you make the cover of SI, or the Victoria Secrets fashion show, but none of us are getting those girls anyway.)
A TRUE amateur would be shooting for free, but I'd warrant most models shooting for producers are getting paid something. And the Fiverr girls aren't shooting for free, so they're not actually "amateur" either.
If you're talking quality level, that comes down to the producer choices (lighting, sets, camera work) more than what the model is getting paid. If you're talking reliability and professionalism, I've had amazing results with models who were pretty close to amateur status. (Deana and Toshia basically shot with me and did no other modeling, and both sold incredibly well and continue to have fanbases a decade on.)
And on the flipside, I've had two day-of model cancellations involving airfare, and BOTH of those were "professional" models that didn't have any other full-time job. One is well-known even now, but she's not a professional in terms of reliability.
But in general, most working models who have been around for years and shoot as their primary income source WILL be reliable. Never had an issue with Kylie or Ginger, who were both full-time. Also, neither charged me as much as a local "amateur" wanted for 2 hours! (I politely declined her offer, but part of me wanted to write back, "Isn't that more than your entire 2-week salary at Hooters?!?" )
Over the years our amateur models have out preformed many of our professional models. Sara, Lexi, Allison, Amber, Raven, Maria, Nikki, Justine, Mila, Linda, and Katie to name a few, all came to us as amateurs. Back then, we built Messygirl on the amateur model format. Liz was actually our first professional model, and even then, she was just starting out.

So many stars in that list MG. I'm hoping the advent of Messy Glamour Girls might see the discovery of even more 'amateur' legends!

Does anyone have appearing in WAM videos as their primary career? Sessions, yes, but video simply doesn't pay enough.
In my experience what makes the difference is whether someone is open minded, and whether they enjoy the sensations of getting messy. As long as you have those two factors together you're going to get decent results.
Think about who your favourites are. There are a few who, for a variety of reasons, make a real impact on the audience for being attractive and authentic. Look at the love and affection they engender. Some only do one or two scenes and people talk about loving and missing them literally years later. Decades in some cases.
In the 15 odd years we've been making media, I can only think of 2/3 girls we've shot with who you would class as pros ( full time, making a living from modelling) I doubt very much if many of you would even remember who they were. Not particularly good sellers for us, didn't garner much feedback.. Personality over pros any day of the week

You didn't post a picture of Justine, so now I am sad.

I've worked with a few, and the high end pro's sell very well. But then, so do personality driven amateurs. I think the bottom line is... an amateur with no personality is meh to people, and a pro with no personality is meh to people.

100% agree "Personality over pros any day of the week"
And with the Mostwam girls, Most of them are friends with some of the other girls. So that adds so much to scenes, especially gameshows and Customs
And you do create scenes that allow personalities to shine through and become the stars of the show, even more than the mess itself!
AS I tried to convey...pros can be amateurish and amateurs can be pro-like (acting well on camera, etc.)....a "pro" model knows to "bring the personality" to the shoot, and the good ones, know that conveying their unique personality makes them more desirable for future shoots....Amateurs, MIGHT fulfill all these requirements, but it's less of a guarantee...that's all....in the end, what makes an 'amateur' or 'pro' is all about looks + attitude (work and on-camera)

my store and drenchme are the only things I do for income. let me tell you, i wish all these ppl that ask for customs for nothing because "i can sell it in my store" really saw my sales. lol but this is really all i do besides teaching for free, just because i love to do it, i have started teaching pole classes...i will be finishing up college as soon as i can bc i already have 3 1/2 years under my belt. i get paid to do this but i also mix it up with some of my own fun as well here and there, when i can and typically its after saving for a while....i would NOT call myself pro, ever, but I do get paid to do it and i will ask to get paid.
i love what i do but there are some things i have done that arent the MOST fun but they are an experience! but, it just so happens i do enjoy most of it and it just so happens i do ask to be paid. we are making fantasies come to life so yeah, i am not PRO but i do some amateur type stuff and some pro qualities as well! so, no category for me!! just jayce!
