I'm basically in agreement with much of what's said here, I'd just like to add a few nuances:
- panties are fine for me, providing they are small, tight and lacy.
- a gateau-like confection is indeed to be preferred, I think the key point is: sloppy but with structure, and crucially the sponge should be moist, not dry
- the positioning of the cake on a stool lends it a kind of reverence, before it is unceremoniously -- or, actually, ceremoniously -- destroyed (see below)
- a very, very slow sit is essential, the model will probably have to balance themselves carefully to do this successfully, but why rush it? The gradual descent of the buttocks onto the cake is a moment for model and viewer alike to savour ...

For me personally, it's a scene from a film called Fetish Dreams. I did.. It's still in the garage for the moment... I'm prepping it for sale... the MrCake plate is currently on another vehicle. It's definitely one of my favorite cars I've ever owned.

I am a massive fan of cake sitting, but it is so often done wrong. I always largely agree with Fagan Edwards. There is a correct way to do cake sitting, and that is basically it. All cake destruction is good, but then again, so wasted if there was more of an opportunity to do it right and it wasn't taken.
My favourite scenes are probably Camilla vs the Naughty Cakes, the Fetish Dreams clip mentioned above, and a couple from Splosh/WSM. Also a nice little clip of Kaci Jones sitting on a gateaux perfectly.
My favourite cakes to sit on are:
- (IF YOU CAN FIND THEM) Coppenrath and Wiesse Cream Tortes (the best frozen cake - perfect for WAM after defrosting)
- Costco Sheet Cakes - unlike many cakes these are soft, gooey and laden with frosting, and they're nice and BIG! As a bonus you can stack them like bricks to make giant cakes - most I ever did was a three tier cake dive built from 7 sheet cakes - magnificent! I fantasise about one day filling a bed with them and turning in for the night.....
