If there were awards for messy videos, I think "Customer 5," as I call it, should be regarded as a classic. I never get tired of it; even if you're not feeling sexy, it's just so horribly funny. Tammy is great as the brash and obnoxious and endlessly condescending customer, and Christina is lovely and perfect as the white-clad spa manager, and so it's very satisfying to see this awful person get repeatedly dunked in oatmeal over and over again. But then: the switch. There is something just a little bit too whiny and passive-aggressive about Christina's spa manager, so by the time Tammy is vowing revenge, we actually want to see this lissome flower get head-dunked. And what sells it is Tammy's comic outrage (complaining that the oatmeal isn't flavoured, I mean come on) and Christina's abject humiliation as she gets dunked and stripped and dunked again and again. I have never wanted to be anyone in a messy video as much as I've wanted to be Christina in this one. By the end, as poor Christina weakly crawls out (and huge respect to her for doing it blind) and huddles next to the tub, stunned and humiliated, you feel sorry for her all over again. These two women give great performances. There are many great Messygirl videos, but while I loved the Vika-Penelope vendetta, this will probably always be my favourite.
