A quick test of a potential "sticky" slime from kitchen ingredients. Small scale test, not particularly cost effective though a cheaper way does exist to scale up a slime like this--it is just a pain in the ass to make so not making a bucket full unless someone wants to be on receiving end of it.

This slime is essentially the closest thing you can make the artificial mucus using kitchen ingredients to cross link proteins and short sugar molecules. Theoretically could be made white instead of yellow so it could be coloured in different colours. I just used Golden Syrup instead of cooking up my own syrup as a base that has given this colour. It is rather sticky but does with enough water diluting it come off of skin and dissolve to wash down the drain. No idea what it would be like in hair but shouldn't be as bad as when flour dries out of water + flour.
