We open on DARON and LAUREN walking down a hallway, talking.



LAUREN: So, you're still going along with this whole Lent charade, huh?



DARON: Charade? I haven't gotten messy in days! It may be a charade to you, to me, it's divine intervention, the reward for a life lived right.



LAUREN: HAH, a life lived right!?! That's rich! Just because you've managed to dupe the simpletons who work here into getting themselves messy doesn't mean you've been absolved from receiving said mess from some higher power.



DARON: "They know not, nor do they discern, for he has shut their eyes, so that they cannot see, and their hearts, so that they cannot understand."



LAUREN: Spout all the biblical mumbo jumbo you want, just know this, I'm onto you, OK?!



DARON: "When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom."



LAUREN: Blahblahbla, blah, blah, blah, blah! You're not as smart as you think you are sister! I'm not getting caught in your messy passion play! Now be a Good Samaritan, grab that door for me.



DARON and LAUREN have come to the door of DARON'S dressing room.



DARON: My pleasure.



DARON opens the door and LAUREN enters. Inside, on either side of the door, are JACKIE and AMANDA, both armed with custard pies to surprise and cream DARON. They unleash their assault, not realizing it's LAUREN getting creamed. After the pies are applied, JEFF comes forward with a bucket of blue cake batter which he slams onto LAUREN'S head with a loud GLITCH! They are momentarily satisfied, until they realize their error, and DARON walks into the room.



DARON: Hey guys.



DARON walks up to LAUREN'S side.



DARON: "Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour"
