It's late in the working day and Ira comes out to reception to talk to both the receptionists Mira and Yana.

"I am not sure you two will be interested in this but a contact of mine in TV is launching a new simple quiz show that is very social media friendly and where you can earn some ready cash by answering questions"

"Why would we be suitable" asks a cautious Mira.

"The format needs a couple of friends to compete against each other, so you two would be ideal, especially as being pretty, which is the other requirement" adds Ira.

"Cash prizes?" Yana wants confirmation.

"Absolutely!" For every right answer, confirms Ira. "Look here are the details of the contact - Lisa. Give her a call and see if you want to do it! The studio is here in central Moscow! They want to film this weekend."

After Ira has left Mira says "You know it cannot be that simple, right?"

"Of course" agrees Yana "And with Ira involved it could be anything!! But It can't help to give them a call.

"I suppose not" says Mira.

"Let me call her now" says Yana dialling the number.

The call is answered and Yana explains who she is and that Ira had said to call as potential contestants. Lisa seems enthusiastic and asks for pictures of Yana and Mira. Yana takes a picture of the two of them and sends it. Lisa says they look ideal as potential contestants but they do have to come to the show not in work outfits but 'Friday night' outfits.

Yana presses Lisa on the prizes! Lisa confirms the show is a simple set up and each correct answer earns the contestant $25! Even Mira looks a bit more enthused by this, but wants to know what happens if there are incorrect answers. Lisa explains there is a 'small slapstick forfeit' for incorrect answers. Yana asks what sort of questions they ask. Lisa gives the girls three sample questions which they both know the answer to. Before Mira can object or ask for more details Yana says they will do it! Lisa says she looks forward to seeing them on Saturday afternoon!

After the call Mira says "I don't know Yan, we could both end up humiliated."

"No! Don't worry those questions were really easy! We will be stars!"

"I don't know" mutters Mira

"You have to come! They need us as a pair!"

"Ok, ok" agrees Mira.

So Saturday afternoon finds both Mira and Yana at a door tucked away round the back of a building. Yana is wearing a white bodice and white leggings with some classic white high heel shoes. Mira is wearing a red leather dress which is off the shoulder with some nice white sandals. Yana rings the entrance bell and they are buzzed in. Once inside there is a spacious but windowless small TV studio in this semi basement space.

A smiling woman steps out and says "Hi! I'm Lisa. Glad to meet you two! Ira was right to introduce you! I think you will be perfect for this. I was expecting to have to add some more makeup but you two have your hair and makeup just right! And great outfits by the way!"

"Thank you" says Yana. Mira smiles nervously.

"Well we are all ready to go!" Enthuses Lisa. "This is our pilot episode of Mess or Glory as we calling it"

Mira's eyes widen slightly in concern.

"It's really simple ! You two sit on those bar stools" Lisa points at two barstools standing lone in the middle of the studio floor. "And we take turns to fire questions at you! At the end we announce the winner. It's quick fire social media friendly stuff! Ok? Any questions?"

"Where are the forfeits" asks Mira.

"Don't worry about that. If we need any we have them all organised" answers Lisa slight evasively.

Yana and Mira move to the bar stools and get themselves sat on them, Yana with more enthusiasm than Mira.

"OK! Quick lighting check. All good" says Lisa.

"Now" adds Lisa "We want to get this in one take as far as possible with minimal editing so keep going please! Are you ready?"

"Yes" says Yana. Mira nods.

"Ok. Rolling" Lisa says as the cameras start.

"Welcome!!!!!" Cries Lisa who is off camera "Welcome to Mess or Glory!! Our fast moving quiz with friends competing for Glorious Cash and avoiding the Mess! Today we have with us two friends and work colleagues! In white the lovely Yana!"

"Hello!!" Shouts Yana.

"And in red the gorgeous Mira!"

"Hello," says Mira in a normal voice.

"Well they both look beautiful viewers! Let's see if they can stay that way and garner some glory!"

There is some pre recorded applause.

"Ok, first question to.. Yana! Ready Yana? That's a lovely outfit you have on there!!"

"Yes ready!"

"Ok - What is the capital of France?"

"Paris!"

"Is correct!!!!! $25 to Yana!!"

More pre-recorded applause.

"Mira, you get the next question! You have amazing hair there by the way"

"Thank you" replies Mira, slightly cooly.

"To keep it that way tell me - when did the Great Patriotic War End"

"9th May 1945" answers Mira who seems to suspect a trap.

"Correct!!!!!" Cries Lisa "Mira also gets $25!"

Mira relaxes a bit, these are indeed easy questions.

"Ok Yana, ready for another question? That is a very white outfit! Will colour be added?"

"I'm ready" Yana is briming with confidence although she does tug the front of her bodice up perhaps revealing some inner nerves!

"Who wrote Crime and Punishment?" Asks Lisa.

"Tolstoy!!" Cries Yana.

Mira gapes at her friend - how could she say that?????

"Oh I'm sorry Yana it was Dostoevsky! And that means you get our first forfeit of the quiz! No need to move - we have taken care of everything!"

And with that a stream of chocolate cake batter falls right onto Yana's head! Yana groans as the sticky gloop spreads and runs down her long freshly washed hair, once it has covered her hair the brown sauce falls onto her thighs a strong contrast to her brilliant white leggings, soaking into them quickly!

Mira is cheered up a lot by this development! If Yana is going to get easy questions like that wrong this was going to e great fun! Mira looks with joy at her friends long hair now ribbons of brown gloop!

There is pre recorded laughter!

"Ok, that outfit does not look quite so pristine Yana!" Says Lisa with a chuckle! "Back to Mira for the next question!"
