Elena clears her eyes of pie mess. She takes a moment to look down her own dress as if somehow she needs confirmation of what has befallen one of her favourite garments. After this Elena steps over to the food trolley and selects a huge bowl of spaghetti in thick tomato sauce.

The smile on Maria's face collapses as Elena approaches her with the bowl. Maria's slight shaking of her head is of course ignored by Elena who carefully put the bowl on Maria's head upside down. Elena takes her time twisting the bowl around on Maria's head. The slimy pasta has been rubbed into all of Maria's blond hair and masses of it have gone down the front and back of her nice black dress by the time Elena lifts the empty bowl off her head.

The two messy women both select pies from the food trolly's, coincidentally both picking strawberry pudding pies with generous cream toppings! There is a moment when the two women glare ate each other but it ends predictably with them both pushing the pies in each other's faces!

Ira pops up from her hiding place behind the counter, retrieves her phone which had been recording the food fight for the benefit of social media.

Ira strides past the still unsighted pair of mess caked women and says brightly "Evening ladies" and she walks into the ballroom to be greeted by Olga and starts her evening as MC.
