After lunch Marianna returned to the office, freshly showered and in a fresh pair of jeans and a new blue blouse and she joked with Vanessa about the pie sandwich prank when she arrived. Vanessa in the meantime has managed to clean the few blobs of cream which sprayed onto her from the pie impacts and is back to her normal pristine self and is basking in the quiet glow of her successful prank while on her reception desk.

It is a bit of a slow day and Vanessa decides to have a walk around the office. Several of the ladies in the accounts section congratulate Vanessa on her pieing of Marianna and this just adds to Vanessa's feeling of well being and confidence. Toward the end of her wander round Vanessa comes to the kitchen of the internal corridor. Vanessa had checked this in the morning for any 'suspicious' foods and there had not been any but now Vanessa spots two pies that look very very similar to the ones she had plastered Marianna with!

"How did these get here?" Mutters Vanessa to herself. This is clearly a problem as there is a strong probability that these are meant for her especially after this morning.

Vanessa in her newly emboldened frame of mind decides to be proactive! She will take the pies and find Marianna and try for a successful mess of the day! How good would that be!

Vanessa checks the corridor outside the kitchen to see if anyone is lingering there. There isn't.

Vanessa steps into the kitchen and picks up the pies, they have the same heavy feel to the ones she had used that morning and she smiles at the thought of letting Marianna have it again!

Vanessa steps out into the corridor and turns to walk down to where she thinks Marianna must be.

There is a gurgling noise above her.
