Nira Wright is out for a stroll, wearing a sun dress and high heels. She spots some leather boots lying on what seems to be a grassy plain. As a woman who loves shoes, she heads out to pick them up--and immediately begins to sink in the thick mud. Determined, she walks quickly, never sinking more than calve deep, till she reaches the boots. Taking off her heels and tossing them back on the trail, Nira puts on the leather boots, which fit well. When she stands up, she begins to sink, this time thigh deep. Panicing a bit, she tries to go forward, but does not get far, falling into quicksand. She struggles and even manages to pull her body partly out of the clinging mud, but the quicksand pulls her back in. Now, no matter how hard she tries, she only sinks deeper, eventually sinking beneath the surface--and blowing bubbles as she goes under. There is a short, after-the-submergence sequence at the very end, showing Nira rising from the mud.
