Ludella Hahn, wearing a black thong, tight, white, wet sleaveless shirt, and sneakers, thought she could save time by taking a shortcut through the marsh. Instead, when she tries to cross a patch of dirt, she discovers it is thick, deep mud. Determined to get across, she plows through the mud, getting stuck, and then getting free, until she reaches a particularly deep spot--then she begins sinking. Ludella does not panic, but her struggling only gets her deeper in the mud. Soon, she is chest deep, with both arms stuck in the mud beside her. The situation does not look good, but Ludella does not panic; in fact, she challenges Mother Nature to try her worst. Slowly, Ludella is able to pull first one, and then her other arm free of the mud. Then, inch by inch, she pulls her body free of the quicksand. No submersion, but lots of struggling in the thick, deep mud, with natural squelching sounds in abundance. Ludella is covered from chest down in the dark, thick mud.
