Ludella Hahn is having a bad day--her car has broken down, her cell phone has no reception, and when she tries to find a house to get help, she accidentally steps into quicksand. At first, she tries to pull out her legs, but that only makes her sink more. About waist deep, she gets one bar on her phone and calls a friend, but only gets voicemail, yet she does not panic. Her hope continues to be the phone--but to no avail, as Ludella eventually slips beneath the surface of the quicksand. There is a short after-the-sink scene at the very end, showing Ludella rising from the mire. She's dressed in a plaid skirt, black satin blouse, and sneakers.
