"Wonderful example of this kind of scene." Relatively short and sweet, this is a great little messy-hair scene... All the details are spot-on, and there are some really excellent top-down angles used in places. If you absolutely need full facial coverage, this isn't your cup of tea, but if quality messy hair content of any interest, this scene delivers big. GherdG 9/11/21
"Layers, lots of sticky layers." This is a wild scene. On the face of it, things are fairly straight-forward; a trivia challenge with messy consequences. But there's a lot more to it, under the surface... For starters, the competitors are mother and daughter. There's something remarkably subversive about that, and the glee the Housewife shows mashing pies all over her shocked mother is infectious. But the shock wears off, and soon enough the mom is giving just as good as she's getting. She is just as delighted demolishing her daughter. And there's more than just pies getting tossed around. Syrup, slime, and just a ton of chocolate show up as well. Pie sandwiches, head-dunks, a full-on messy bath; the volume and variety of mess here is really impressive. It's almost selling the scene short to say it's just a messy trivia game, as there are a lot of other elements that could be marquee components. Once again, these guys prove they're highly worth watching; they take a pretty traditional concept, nail all the details, and toss in enough little twists and surprises to deliver a wholly-unique take. I was excited right away, seeing the teaser for this scene, but it exceeded my expectations. Bonus points for the way they set the game up; using premade trivia cards with a question and a punishment is a really excellent way of keeping the game moving smoothly and the parade of messes fresh. And lastly, for anyone else paying attention, the hair-mess here is abundant and excellent. GherdG 6/9/21
"An embarassment of riches." I am a fan of these guys. Something about the mix of goofy comedy, thorough sloppings, and clever production really clicks for me. That said, this scene is a cut above; a triumph by high standards. To go into everything about why it works so well would borderline constitute spoilers (which in an of itself is kind of fantastic). But it's not a spoiler to point to one of the major things that lifts these guys to the next level of producing; they are so damn inventive. Without a ton of gadgets and a big studio, they manage to keep pumping out scenes that pull-off surprises and genuine laughs. What I find so remarkable and impressive about it, is how well they are clearly using the resources available to them. Maybe it's nothing wholly revolutionary, but they can take advantage of their circumstances and do the kind of scenes that are seldom achieved elsewhere. Granted this is hard to get across while trying to preserve the surprises, but I think it's definitely worth it. Beyond some of the unexpected turns, even the "base" scene itself is up to their standard of excellence. As ever Lilly is excellent playing the hapless recipient, and her move of two-handed-scraping the goop off her head, tucking her sodden hair behind her ears, is among the best (and precious few) in the business. GherdG 5/7/21
"Piling on." This scene is ultimately a feature for Lilly, the frequent third-amigo, who has apparently yet to properly make her bones. Already an old-hand at taking messes savory and sweet (and soap), what really separates Lilly from the heard in this scene, and in general, is her fantastic non-reaction to getting completely clobbered. It's one thing to sit there stone-faced, acting hard to ignore the mess entirely, another to respond with over-the-top dismay or outrage; this is the ideal middle ground, the third bowl of porridge. Lilly's reaction to getting pied and slimed to smithereens (and most of the hits are stiff to say the least), is the perfect middle line of stunned resignation. Whether this is superior coaching from The Wife, or a natural reaction to ridiculous circumstances, who's to say. All that matters is that she takes it in stride in the best way possible. Added note for messy hair fans: There are a handful of really excellent hair-wipes in this one. Another thing Lilly excels at. Definitely bonus points. GherdG 12/26/20
"Exemplary" ![]() Site: Loving Messy 4 you! Really a fantastic experience. There was very responsive, extremely clear communication throughout the process. Everything, from pricing to timelines, was laid out directly and upfront, which is always a pleasure as a customer. The resulting scene was outstanding. I provided a fairly basic concept with some specific elements I was looking for, and they really built the whole thing wonderfully. Little touches and details were included which I hadn't asked for but really tied the scene together. Of course all of the specifics I had requested were delivered perfectly. The overwhelming feeling I got from the final product was one of terrific attention to detail and a genuine desire to deliver a cohesive scene. Truly can't recommend these folks enough. I'll certainly be returning in the future. GherdG 10/27/20
"A first time for everything." Personally, I'm not generally a big fan of scenes with two models where one stays clean... But wow. This one makes it work. Lilly has a heck of a debut, both in quantity of mess and quality of reception. She takes quite a bit of stuff dumped on her head and comes through smiling. Throw in the Wife's excellent comedic sense, and wistfully amused expressions, and things just click. Bonus points for nailing a nice balance between caking on the muck and wiping it off between applications. Also some great post-action wrap-up stuff as well. Simple concept, pitch-perfect execution. "Come for the slime, stay for the comedy (and pies, syrup, etc.)" It's becoming redundant, but these guys really "get it." It's very apparent that they're truly enjoying doing these; not just the mess, but the production and conception as well. The plots, the staging, the props, all of it is clearly the product of effort, care, and fun, and it shows on the screen. The Grade A pie-throwing on display is just gravy, which ironically is about the only thing not dumped on these hapless diners... Great scene. GherdG 8/22/20
"For the right audience, an instant classic." Obviously, there are a lot of niches in WAM. Seems almost everyone has that one golden bullet which can elevate any scene. For me, this one has it, twice-over. I'm a big fan of short hair getting messy, and that can sometimes feel like a real rarity. So for this scene to have both models with short hair getting gooey (the bright colors are just gravy), that's quite the gem. It speaks to the quality and attention to detail in the scene that this little element, important to presumably a fairly small demographic, is catered to just as well as the more marquee components (boilersuits, etc). Overall the models have a great time and get quite covered. Can't ask for more than that. GherdG 7/13/20
"Original take on a classic premise" For apparent slime-specialists, these guys sure toss a mean pie... More impressive than the projectile-pastry though, is the way they take a pretty standard, familiar concept and really play with it. Obviously, preview images and a basic understanding of the theme here ensure there aren't any true shocks in store, but I was pleasantly surprised by the inventiveness brought to the proceedings. Lots of fun. GherdG 7/9/20
"A double-decker of enthusiasm, with the works." With industrial-sized containers of condiments fairly available, huge savory scenes may not be that rare... this one is still unique, due purely to the enthusiasm of the model. I've never seen a savory scene, much less a demolition on this scale, where the sole participant is so eager to be wearing the stuff. It genuinely stood out, how she took the time to scoop up the leftovers and rub them in, after every container. She was basically saturated after the first 3 jugs, but kept going and going. Unbridled enthusiasm. The only downside I found, was that the game really just determined which jug came next; all were destined to land on her head. A nitpick, but still worth noting. (Additionally, for particular fans of messy hair, this one is special. The care she takes to shampoo the slop into her hair throughout the scene is remarkable. By the end it contains more ketchup, mustard, and mayo than the average McDonald's... ) GherdG 5/28/20
"New name, same magic." One outstanding model getting completely slathered with goo. Hard to ask for much more. There might actually be more personality in the scene than slime, though it's too close to call. These bathtub scenes are simple but extremely effective. Special recognition of the shaving cream hose-down towards the end... A great way to change up a slime-scene, adding texture and blending colors. GherdG 5/18/20
"Another winner." Really a parade of great scenes lately from this store, and this is no exception. Maybe most impressive is the continuing effort to come up with novel little scenarios for each scene. A bit of inventiveness, a game recipient, and remarkably thorough coverage, is a winning strategy every time. Extra points for the outstanding timing of the pie at the end. GherdG 4/29/20
"Great leap forward" Personally just a bit disappointed that the immediate aftermath of the full-submersion is only a few seconds, before cutting to the model getting out after cleaning up some. Certainly not a bad thing to include, but that stuff in the middle would have been great to get as well. However overall, this is a very good scene. Great model, great mud. Definitely would like to see some more like this one. GherdG 4/10/20
"Consistent quality and high-level execution." ![]() Site: The Customwam UMD Store I have been a repeat customer for a good reason. These guys do a tremendous job. I tend toward game-based scenes, and they always get it right; I don't worry about the mechanics of the game being misunderstood or the competition feeling perfunctory. They really nail the atmosphere while also getting the details. It almost feels unnecessary to delve into the models and messes specifically; the history and body of work here speak for themselves. A couple of times I've had a model become unavailable and gone with an alternate, and I've never been disappointed. Same with the messes; they just know what they're doing. Even further, communication is always professional and transparent. Across the board, MostWam is tough to beat when it comes to custom scenes. GherdG 2/23/20
"Very High Quality Scenes" ![]() Site: The Customwam UMD Store Given the volume of glowing reviews here, I'm not sure I have very much to add... However, I am impressed and appreciative to such a degree that I feel compelled to try. I've now used these guys for 3 different customs, and each one has turned out excellently. From complicated games where little details matter a lot, to straight-forward scenes where everything rides on a fun and energetic atmosphere, they have delivered every time. From start to finish, they really put in the time and effort to do a hugely professional job. I could not recommend them more highly. GherdG 6/10/19
"Very disappointing." Seems like it should be a great game... However half of the models start out already wet and/or messy, which while shown in the preview images, is not mentioned (or denied) in the summary. Very disappointing for a messy game scene. [Note from 3G_Girls: We sincerely apologize for your disappointment in this clip. Both Jade and Zoe had taken part in a shorter clip immediately before, "Jade and Zoe pop cherries, " where they get a pie in the face. Rather than keeping that part in, we decided to split it for the pie in face loving fans. We appreciate your feedback on the clip and it will be used for future scenes we shoot. We have added all scenes together for a super bundle set with a heavily discounted price.] GherdG 5/25/19
"The devil is in the details." I have commissioned a few customs in the past, and have learned that the number one most important quality in a custom producer, in my opinion at least, is thorough attention to detail. Available models, the 'house-style,' technical prowess, these are all important. But custom films live and die on the execution of the little details; often it's these specific elements, big or small, which necessitate a custom in the first place. The folks at Saturation Hall demonstrated some of the most thorough and accommodating attention to detail I've experienced. Each element and aspect I requested was given priority, and they took the time and energy to make sure they were going to get it right. Everything was communicated clearly throughout the process, and nothing was taken for granted. Again, a critical quality when dealing with things which might seem tiny to some, but make or break a scene for others. It is readily apparent that they genuinely want to get the details right for the customer. You only need to take a look at their preview material to get a sense of the technical quality of their work. On top of that, I asked them for something a bit outside their normal stomping ground, content-wise, and they delivered in spades. Looking around, the degree of care and detail-orientation apparent in their content is what drew me to Saturation Hall for a custom, and the end result certainly justified looking outside the box (based on my own general interests). I would wholeheartedly recommend anyone looking for something specific in a custom consider Saturation Hall. GherdG 4/7/18 |
