So? The whole late 90s early 2000s is back in! I have received, over the years, many many requests where my Outfit is usually this theme I have to look on eBay and the clothes are usually very worn And it's hard to find sizes! Well? Look no further my Y2K loving friends! I have found the Most bang for your buck on shein (I think that's how it's spelled) And Amazon is catching up but more expensive. If you wanna find that outfit that fits that era you miss and love? Shein is the place to get it! I have also found that on this site? Always size up atleast one size They sell lingerie too! For ultra cheap. Not as good of quality as adore me or amazons most popular lingerie but? It works for atleast one messy session! Hope this helps in your messsy clothing adventures! I already have been stacking up with cheap parachute pants and blazers and I'm SOOO hype about Uggs being back in style. Haha! So comfy! Carry on!
Please forgive me but the late 90s early 2000s fashion went out!!! No wonder I was getting funny looks. Thank God its back. I can be a hipster again (is hipster a hip word at the moment)
I understand some people include a certain clothes style, but for me a trashing, is a trashing, not too fussed on fashion as long as the mess is gooooood .
Hahah! I can't wear mom jeans bc my ass doesn't look good in them. Or I don't think it does. I have one pair of mom shorts and they are CUUUUTE. They are little shorty shorts with an itty bitty rise on the belly but SO CUUUUTE and sexy!

BUT--- also! Bc of this? Any Victoria's Secret jump suits -velour especially? Will be upped in price on eBay. Juicy stuff---any kind of matching jumpsuits like that will be sold out or expensive! Just disclaimer. But for my Victoria's Secret loving friends who like the old look? Stay on top of their lines. They are changing lately to an older looking style
Shein is very, very used here in Brazil for e-commerce. Government even was thinking on increase taxes for these imports... But gave up due to people's claim.
I found a leather blazer there for R$ 90(US$ 18).
A suit with, blazer, mini skirt and cropped is sold for R$ 150(US$ 30).
I think about this a lot. If you dressed as someone from the 1970s, you would look at them -- the earth tones, the longish hair, the bell bottoms, etc.-- and think "1970s". 1980s? Big hair, neon and bright colors, OP shorts for guys, leg warmers for girls. Same for the 90s and the 50s. But that all changed in the last 20 years (at least for me). There does not seem to be a strong, identifiable look. The two-thousand aughts don't have a feel-- don't have a strong culture. Even the music is indistinguishable. Same with the teens. What does it mean to dress like someone from 2013? I wonder if it is because of the rise of the internet. Or maybe I am just old.
Y2K look is a lot of low rise jeans, crops, Ugg boots, Steve Madden high sandals, if you watch Any reality tv From that era? Which there was a lot, you can see the look. It's like? Watch an episode of "the girls next door" and You can see what it is. Also? Has anyone seen the Kendra reality show where she's in Nashville playing in a giant mud hole for a music video??!! I thought that was awesome! I just saw it!
I never was one to dress "cool" I couldn't afford it. My freshman year of high school I was at goodwill and making My own clothes and actually started a really successful business around 2011 on Etsy where I took older garmets and made them more "fitted" to our style at the time. Lots of amazing vintage dresses, pants suits, purses, Hats, the whole deal. I made about 13k in straight profit and then? Everyone else started doing it and the market was highly saturated and that was around the time I started here. There are lots of videos (no longer available) that had some of my best vintage goodies in it. One was a wedding dress. I had given up on marriage at a young age and that was my dream boho wedding dress. I trashed it on a white couch with "she who won't be named" now? Oh man I wish I still had it!

The stuff comes faster than you think! And everything I got? Was decent quality! I got some boots and some pants and a skirt, and they are all really cute! But go up one size! Not in shoes but clothes
And that right there is why it's a fashion era that should be forever consigned to the lowest pits of the seventh hell, never to be seen again.
Low-rise jeans were the most horrific maistream fashion style ever, ever, even worse than the horrors of the 1970s.
Male bodies are usually characterised by a longer torso and shorter legs. Female bodies usually have longer legs and slightly shorter torso. High-waist jeans and trousers compliment the female shape, making the legs look even longer and really showing off the waist-to-thighs area at the front, and bum area at the back, which are among the sexiest parts of the body, especially when gunged. They also display a gorgeous ass view.
Low-rise styles on the other hand make women look like men. The style originated from one created to be worn by gay men, which had an almost separate waistband with vertical "droppers" to the main area of fabric - the waistband holding them up but then a 2" gap letting you see skin (or underwear) before the pants proper started. Of course that would be a fiddly and expensive style for mass-manufacture so the high street fashion brands copied it by just lowering their wasitbands, resulting in jeans with deformed back pockets that extended onto the legs, and horribly shortened fronts with daft short zips, ruining the feminine look both front and back.
They also had to be constantly hitched up, and because their "waistband" was on the soft fleshy hips, they gave absolutely everyone, even ultra-skinny people, muffin-tops.
It was a massive and profound relief when that horrible, hideous style finally died, and people started wearing far more attractive high-waist gear again, I believe American Apparel lead the way as their disco pants were always high-rise, and looked stunningly sexy as a result.
I may have strong opinions on this.
I will however second you recommednation of Shein as a source for clothes. We've bought lots of gear from them, and had great results.
