Reaching ever deeper into the bag of obscure preferences to discuss, I wondered if anyone else, like me, gets a kick out of the expression on the face of the girl delivering the pie? I do love to see a wicked smirk or delighted grin.

Not only that, but if there are other people watching the action, I sometimes get a kick out of their expressions of surprise, amusement, sympathetic embarrassment for the victim, etc. This includes pointing toward the victim and laughing wildly, covering their mouths with their hands, etc.
Agree with OP. An expression of devilish delight on the part of the pier as she pies the piee makes a scene. To me it's as important as the expression of the model on the receiving end of the pie/mess etc. Can't beat a beat of gloating!
Like these two? Honeysuckle and Lily, pieing each other, Lily getting a custard pie sandwich from a gleeful Honeysuckle, and a bit later in the same scene, a grinning Lily getting her own back with a pair of face pies. These are from a recent custom where we were specifically asked to focus on pies and mess over faces and hair, which we've just released to members. I agree completely with the OP, when I watch a scene, the grin / glee shown by the girl delivering the mess is just as important as the reaction of the girl receiving it.
Yes, I like this, assuming the pier is a woman. Here's an old favorite pic of Ariel that I like because of the look of glee on Ariel's face and the look of disgust on her victim. And some other pics.

Yes! Some great examples here. That set with Ariel and Mica is an all favourite for this very reason.
These two pics illustrate my point. They are both very similar, but the one with Alice grinning is clearly the better one in my view!
Interesting topic! And I have to agree, allthough one is mostly focused on the victim the reaction or expression of the thrower oftentimes can make the moment very special.
That's what I love about photography btw. because it allows to freeze the moment and espression when it happens
E.g. there was this one scene with Alex (the long haired beauty in the black dress) and Sandy. One has to know that Alex was actually a model herself (though she should be) but a professional makeup artist. That's how I got to know her initially. It was during a shoot when I asked her if she wanted to take part as a model herself sometime to which she immediately agreed. She knew Sandy from several shootings already and you could notice that the two had a special relationship. Already during the preparations for the shoot I could notice that Alex was pretty excited about the prospect of being messed up and even more so about messing up her friend Sandy. When I was reviewing the images closely while editing them after the shoot it actually became clear to me the Alex was really aroused during the shoot. Her eyes kept focusing on Sandy and every drop of slime she applied to her. Models usually tend to focus on the camera. And while she tried to do this as well during parts of the shoot, you could notice that she much more was focusing on Sandy and totally immersed herself in the experience. That's still what makes this scene stick out for me.
I particularly love it when a girl is new to this stuff, and her expression says" I can't believe I'm getting away with doing this AND being paid for it!
