Agree on tescos own brand, the nozzle is quite big too so it comes out well. Morrisons is OK too. I found I got about 4 or 5 decently big paper plate pies out of one can

you get a descent amount of foam out of it and it gives and good coverage.
in regards to what to put it on i would say paper plates are best they allow you to rub the foam around nicely when you pie.
I agree Tesco,s own brand is the best ,get the most out of the can by warming the cans in hot water for 10 mins before you use them the foam comes out a lot quicker and thicker ,I add xantham gum to the foam for a shines slippery foam.

WamChantelle - try sitting in an empty tub and have to friends bury you in foam. One with huge foam pies and the other spraying can after can all over. Extends the excitment for along time as your feel your face and body covered under a ton of foam. Bring a straw in to get some air lol
From my experience, the best foam I've tried so far is Boots own brand. IT expands nicely and is nice and thick. Also a shout out to Morrison's own brand and to Gilette foam (the one in the orange can. A bit expensive but it's good foam). Don't get the Gilette black can stuff. It's very watery and doesn't make a good pie at all.
Best tip I can offer you for getting the most out of a can is to rest the can in warm water for a few minutes before spraying it. It makes the foam expand more.
AS for the base, my personal preference is a foil tin. IT's a bit more expensive but you can get more foam on that base and it can cover your face nicely. Saying that though, you can't go wrong with paper plates, can hold a good amount of foam, clean up easily and, used correctly, are unlikely to cause injury
