I know this is totally morbid and "not cool", but a friend of mine & I check IMDB.com each day only to find out which celebrity has died. We are each placing bets on whether Olivia deHavilland (now 102) or Kirk Douglas (will turn 102 in December 2018) will kick the bucket first. Moreover, WE are wondering, given our respective health conditions, whether WE will outlive deHavilland or Douglas.
Burt was in the 1979 movie, "Starting Over", with Jill Clayburgh & Candice Bergen. Jill is a teacher, and at the school carnival ends up in a dunking pool wearing a "gay '90's" type bathing suit, complete with a hat and a parasol.
Burt dunks her a bunch of times in a very humiliating (and funny) way as the parents and students watch and laugh. But the fun comes to an abrupt halt when Jill finally gets pissed & drops the F-bomb. The parents try to get their kids out of there as quickly as possible!
While Jill wasn't the most beautiful woman in Hollywood, I always thought that she was very pretty, and my interest in her increased immensely after seeing this scene!

Nice to see you posting again. Hope everything's okay with you.
My closest personal encounter with Mr Reynolds was bicycling (I had to rent a bicycle because did not have a credit card yet and could not rent a car) past Mr Reynold's estate in Jupiter, Florida in 1996 and driving past it in 2000 when I did have a credit card and rented a car. Nothing struck me as extraordinary about it, probably because it was fairly well hidden in the trees.

I think when Norman posts, everyone in the forum should yell "NORM!" like in Cheers! You've been missed!
Also, this is sad news...I need to go over to my dad's and dig out Smokey and The Bandit, and rewatch my favorite episode of Archer.
That's a great idea, Potatoman-J! Think how devastated superspy Sterling Archer feels! He was totally submerged in the Smokeyverse. I still think the title of that episode: "The Man from Jupiter" is brilliantly clever.
I posted my tribute on the wetlook forum. In the 1960s Burt bought what used to be Al Capone's 150 acre hideout in the 1930's and it was located to front of my ranch in Jupiter. Only saw him a couple of times though, when he would walk his dog in the street early in the mornings....
Well....fyi Doris, at 96, is currently the oldest living actress who has done at least 2 mud scenes in different films that we know of. But she has a ways to go to beat the oldest living actress who has done wetlook scenes, which is Olivia de Havilland at 102.
