So I myself and my wife would love to share photos (and videos?) of our adventures of her being slimed and pied. But We have plenty of relatives left alive to disappoint, lol.

If your profile is private I believe you would have to be a member on here to see pics. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Its honestly odd to me that people worry they will get found out, as if this was facebook and not the farthest reaches of internet obscurity.

I've potentially ran into one person, I worked w a coworker who I fee had videos at one point, before we worked together. She joked about pushing a cake into my face once and then we joked about pies a few times. She deleted her account prob about time she worked for our company, doubt she knew I was on the site too but I wasn't to worried if she did cause we obviously were both on here for our fetishes

Not writing this with the intent of deterring you from posting your photos, because then I'd have a bunch of WAMmers mad at me, haha.

From what I gleaned from previous conversations on the topic, your photos/videos should remain on UMD and yes, you can make your profile private so that only those logged in can view them. However (someone correct me if I'm wrong) if you post the photos in a forum thread they're viewable by those not logged in, and if you post to the forums, any image used as your profile pic is viewable by all.

Unfortunately, like any other site, there's no guarantee that what happens on UMD will stay on UMD. I volunteer as a Copyright Assistant here and UMD-exclusive vids pop up on a certain "hub" site all the time, even paid ones. Some folks utterly ignore boundaries and the sites don't always yank the videos right away.

You may wish to read more about scrubbing EXIF data from your photos to make them less identifiable, as well as the rapid-paced development of facial recognition software. (In short, the concern is that in the near future a "clean" (non-messy) facial image of you on UMD could be linked to your clean photos on your FB or LinkedIn page, thus revealing your identity.) Others have opted to only share photos that were taken after the subject was messed up, because the technology doesn't yet exist to match a gunge-covered face with a clean one.

Another caveat: It's inadvisable to use an image (of any ilk) as your profile icon if you have the same image posted elsewhere online. Free services like TinEye can scour the entire Web for matches to that image, potentially leading to an identity reveal.

I'm not overly concerned sharing my photos and videos here, but I don't have a high-profile job and I only post fully-clothed stuff. The general attitude I've found on UMD encourages sharing images with our little niche of like-minded folks, with the understanding that new members of the community will get scared off if their images are misused and shared elsewhere. That leads to profiles being deleted, new friends leaving from intimidation and content being lost.

Writinigismylife, You make very good points. Almost without knowing it I guess, I protected myself and identity from the beginning here. Beside the fact I have a face for radio () I am probably too noticeable so I looked for the perfect avatar to use as a profile pic, and I only' post non facial pics for that reason. I don't have a high profile job but it simply would cause me trouble if my identity here was compromised.

Scrub the EXIF data! Some sites like Facebook and Tumblr take it out automatically, but UMD does not, and the location and other data can be lurking behind images.

Facial recognition will probably get good enough to identify through gunge in the near future using other biometrics and body shape. Pretty depressing thought on privacy in general.

It is very unlikely that anyone you know would stumble upon your photos.

HOWEVER, my girlfriend at the time posted some photos of herself in a public setting that involved digging through a deep pool of a messy substance to find prizes. I took some photos and posted them here.

Someone from our city who we don't know recognized her face, found her full name on Facebook, and contacted her employer and got her fired for posting her photos 'on a porn site'. Because the UMD does allow porn, it was a fairly accurate statement, despite the fact that she was fully dressed and in a public place.

So it can (and did) happen. Be careful. Perhaps take some photos that don't show the face.

Dip your toe in it with pics where can recognize your face or other identifying body marks. If you posting gets you turned on or excited post more and say to hell

Again, not to deter you, but there are a lot of factors. I post pictures of my clean face because...well I don't care, and I really have nothing to lose. However, that's clearly not the case for everyone.

Believe it or not, there are probably people here that someone might recognize in public if they posted their face. Maybe they work on TV or something. In those situations, it makes perfect sense to limit exposure.

Now in Bobo's case, I really would love to know how that didn't end up in a massive lawsuit against the employer...but you also gotta pick your fights.

Agreed 100%. The chance of anyone in your real life finding this site or posts of pictures specifically by you are zero. Any potential employer? Same deal. This is more than internet obscurity.

It was a religious organization she did some work for. They could not afford a scandal, and the asshole who reported her via letter, threatened to go to the press if they didn't let her go. Their hands were pretty much tied. Or probably they're not into that, but you get my drift.

Well, I have read every single response and DAAAAAYYYYYMMMMMM I have a bunch to think about. I mean even if she doesn't show her face there are still tats that would give her away. And besides that I would really want to show her face anyways!

Media can be copied, shared, saved and most upsettingly, posted on pornhub and the likes.

Any picture posted on the Internet can be downloaded, saved, and reposted. Some websites try and do various "tricks" to try and stop people downloading images but they are all futile - anyone who knows what they are doing can download them. The UMD doesn't bother with any of those tricks, as it's assumed images posted here are for people to download and keep. So assume if you post something here that a) it will end up in lots of private collections of people who like the same kind of stuff, and b) the images probably will end up being re-uploaded and shared somewhere else.

I'd also second everything Lisa said above - and likewise when we start a new model I always make absolutely clear that our shoots are fetish material and the people who buy the content do so for arousal purposes, and that anyone not completely comfortable with that should not participate.

As to EXIF data - when a phone or digital camera takes a photograph, a bunch of extra information is saved with the image, which can be read by anyone. Assuming you're using a Windows PC, open a directory with your photos in it, right-click on one, click "Properties", and then go to the "Details" tab. Mostly it'll be camera settings, focal length, aperture, exposure time, etc, but scroll down and there is a whole lot more - especially on photos taken with a phone camera, there will be detailed information about when and exactly where the image was taken - stick that into Google and you can find the exact place on Google Maps. Pics taken with an actual camera will generaly only have the camera settings info as most cameras don't have all the built in GPS etc that a phone does, but there will still be a bunch of info there. You can get apps to delete most / all of the EXIF data, I occasionally post phone snapshots taken part way through scenes as teasers here, but I strip all the EXIF data off them before uploading.

This is very interesting, as a test I went through the "properties" on several (clean) pictures I had taken with my smart phone, some in well known public places. In each case the location was given as the file in which I had saved it on my computer. So it seems that I had inadvertently scrubbed the EXIF data without knowing it! Happy Days.
