My girlfriend and I are new to the wet and messy scene and would like to know what are some good things to start out with that are safe for her vagina etc.
For me pretty much everything, slime, cake batter, custard, chocolate, syrups, go for it - the advice that sugary things applied directly to the vagina cause thrush is a myth. I have actually looked this up before having never had a problem despite walking around with a mars bar up my chuff and cake batter in my knickers for hours. I discovered that it actually creates a hostile environment
It's frantically scrubbing and doucheing it out that causes problems. The inside of the vagina is self cleaning and it's important not to disrupt the natural balance. The reason I've never had a problem despite everything from chocolate to curry in, on and around that area is that I do not douche. gentle cleaning off of the outside parts is all that is needed, and if a lot has gotten inside maybe another gentle showering off a few hours later.
My messages often get drowned out by a bunch of others perpetuating not to use sugary things though despite them never having owned a vagina and only being messy once or twice in their lives whilst I've been messy literally thousands of times but you take advice from whoever you trust
DISCLAIMER I would add though, every woman is different so maybe start out with something fairly benign like slime (natrosol, hec or methyl) lube, slube or custard and just see if there are any problems before moving on to other stuff. You never known when an allergy or weird reaction may crop up so take your time, try stuff and have fun (and never ever scrub or douche)
My wife agrees with Candy Custard. She's never had a problem with, for example, chocolate. I also have to disagree with the shaving cream, though maybe I used the wrong kind. I got a nasty irritation once after having had no problems numerous times.
Our easy go to is boxed cake mix (in the US). You just add water, ignoring any other add ins. Use hot water to mix - it should be luke warm by the time everything is ready. It also tastes good. Be sure to beat it thoroughly - you don't want any dry bits. It washes off really easily. And at about a dollar a box, for 8 bucks you can enough for a nice wallow.
Have fun. If you might want to take pictures, prepare beforehand. Get a couple of damp washcloths and keep them near the camera so you can clean your hands.
And do it in a warm room. Sometimes cold can be a real turn off.

Turns out my ex's problem was gluten, and later found out they had Celiac. So yeah, just be careful of allergies and stuff. No one needs that ER room explanation.
As others have said, don't use anything that you are allergic to firstly. My personal favourite is cake sitting. Get a nice big squishy cake and just sit on it, that feels amazing. Custard and icing are my other favorites.
