Anyone else creeped out by this? I like to share my muddy fun on here and love to interact on most levels with most people. But there's something about the PMs, and even the open comments on my stuff that starts Mmmmmm. It creeps me out. I've even told the odd perpetrator that it's creeping me out. And still they do it. Is it just me? Sorry if it is.

Block them and report the hell out of them. If someone makes anyone uncomfortable and won't stop...they got to go.

First off if anyone persists on doing it (esp in PMs) when you've told them you don't like it, report them to Admin. Not respecting someone's clearly expressed boundaries is totally out of order.

On the more general point, given this is a fetish site it's not unreasonable for people to indicate that they found posted content a turn-on, and I imagine "Mmmmm" is intended to convey that, so it's probably inevitable in pic comments from people who aren't aware of your dislike of it I'm afraid. Perhaps there should be comment comments like the PM ones where people can express that they don't want certain types of responses? Or the ability for a user to turn commenting off on their own pics, just leaving the heart option?

If you told them to stop and they continued then yes, Creepy AF! Obviously doesn't understand what "no" means...

As for a Mmmmm comment? I guess that depends on the person reading it. For you it is creepy but others (including the poster) maybe not. It's very innocuous in itself as it says nothing, only what the reader attributes to it.
But then maybe that's the trick, if they get in trouble for being creepy they can argue that it's not.

Either way it's pointless. If you like something, say so! Big up people who have the guts to put up personal stuff, or producers selling their wares! An amazon review of "3 stars: Mmmm" doesn't say much!

Thanks for the help everyone. Well, those that did help. I'm feeling increasingly attacked here, I'm not sure it's you, it's probably me. It's been a good run, I've loved sharing my stuff, but I think the site has evolved beyond what I can do. I might go quiet for a little while, do some lurking, and maybe regroup in the future. It's a shame, this is, literally, the only outlet for me, I'm so far in the WAM closet it's unbelievable. But I'm used to the toxic minority spoiling things, that seems to be modern life.

There are two standard dictionary definitions of multiple m's.

Interjection

mmm

(onomatopoeia) An expression used to show contentment for something

Mmm, this is a tasty pie!

(onomatopoeia) An expression used to show thought or reflection

Mmm, I see what you mean.

The second use is rare, usually only something you can get away with vocally by demonstrating the right intonation (sounding sort of a single musical note high on the scale). The second use is generally replaced by "Hmmm" in text, and neither of them make any sense as an isolated message without context. The first use does, and it's understandable that it might be irritating.
