I think it wouldn't have the nostalgia that breaths into how it's run because of trial and error and the history behind how it was built and the people who use it as well, in a way it onlyfans has its own issues but their is one majority owner 75% of it is owned by one man for example
Here their is more than just subscription and payments their is collaboration and ways to learn how wam clean up is for example
I don't think it would be as safe as a place to ask questions and get to learn about how people experience all elements of wam
I think if it were built now it wouldn't be anywhere near as successful because IMO newer sites lock too much behind a paywall. You may be able to make the same amount or more from a smaller user base but left the momentum that more people being to the table. It's easier for them to lose interest and the place would fall by the wayside. Then we'd be stuck on one of the sploshing groups on Fet!
Also I think the UI would be crap, but I'm the odd one out who thinks that site design peaked in the late 2000s before Flash started running things. More information density is better, and I can actually zoom in on mobile. No clue why devs lock that out because it's annoying as hell.
I've already introduced Gootube into the Splatter Island canon.
Lucas referenced it in one of his OneShots, and I've got an upcoming video with a character who is a Gootuber by trade. He'll be working with Ulysess on making SplatterCoin seem legit.

If you look in my photos, I can't take any credit for Gootube. They have been around a while.

I've seen other creators reference Gootube also. Does that mean they are all in a shared universe?
