This is a legit concern. I'm on record right here say that I don't give a shit about me being in a photo, but I took down my Facebook cover which was our group shot because of that (as well as changing my friend list so no one sees anyone else unless they are mutual friends). I don't want to upset, dox, or make anyone uncomfortable. And I apologize profusely if I have done so.
I'm so happy for everyone that made it, and glad everyone got back safely!
We want to thank everyone for making our Vegas trip so memorable. It was such a joy meeting everyone. Our only regret was that our Messygirl events took time away from some of the UMD social events. If this becomes an annual thing, I'm sure we will plan it better to include all activities.
Now that I've unpacked, recovered from the jetlag, and done the laundry, etc, I thought I'd just take the time to thank MM for creating and hosting the UMD XX event. A bit like the curate's egg (not bad in parts), your end held up well, the downsides being my trip out and my bl**dy phone leaving me incommunicado, so my thanks to MM and Kristina for taking the trouble to try and keep me included. As to the future, I can't think of any/many that could afford to do that every year, from the US, never mind those from the UK or elsewhere. Might I suggest, that it might be made like the Olympics and held every two or four years, the next one being in the UK, before reverting to the US two years later, maybe somewhere more north-easterly, say Chicago? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts, and in the meantime, thanks again. Mike.
Normality is subjective.

It was fantastic and hats off to MM for making it happen! Great times, lots of fun, amazing people and just an all around blast.
I totally support making it annual.
Vegas was great cuz anything goes there. While moving a ton of messy supplies from someone's car to their room, one of the bags broke with two gallon cans of pudding in it. They fell out and rolled across the hotel lobby floor. Did any one notice? Did anyone say anything? Did anyone wonder, why do those folks have gallons of pudding and where are they going with them? NOPE!!!
I bet with each year the event is held, more and more people would attend. More producers would be there and host more private sessions and events. And generally the community would grow and become even more strong!

In NYC you could walk around with two gallons of pudding all over you and nobody would say anything. Bring this shit here!
Vegas would always be tough for me to make, but Chicago is easily driving distance. As long as I didn't have an unbreakable conflict it would seem I'd be a fool not to go given the feedback on this one.
