For me it was a rather unusual route: the Academy Award-winning short film from 1986, The Rainbow War. It's hard to explain, but the titular war was fought between the Red, Blue, and Yellow Kingdoms with paint.

I think it was an episode of Nashville Now with Ralph Emery.

Lee Greenwood did a performance, the Ralph came up and hit him with several pies.

That's all I can remember. This is like, 1985 or something.

I grew up on the usual assortment of gungy gameshows you'd expect from a '90s kid in the UK - Fun House, Get Your Own Back and Run the Risk being some of the most well-known. It was definitely Run the Risk's welly-wanging game that awakened me to the possibilities of feet. And I knew I liked it better when girls and women got gunged than boys and men. But the show that pushed me out of denial that this was a sexual fetish for me was Twister. Specifically, the very first game they ever played on Twister.

If you haven't seen Twister - and if you haven't I don't recommend you look it up, because the contestants were very much all underage at the time of filming, and at the time of watching so was I, but I'm sure not now, and neither are you - it was in many respects a rip-off of Fun House, including the penultimate round being vehicle-based and the winners getting a chance at the themed obstacle course in the final round. The first two games, though, those could be gungy. Only "could be," mind. Some episodes they'd have two gungy games, some one, some episodes there wasn't a drop in sight. It's no wonder it only lasted for one season. That very first game, though... whoo boy.

They'd hyped it up in the continuity segments leading up to the first episode's airing, claiming it was the most gunge ever used in a TV show. It may very well have been, because they literally had two cement mixers full of the stuff, but 90% of it never actually went over anybody. The objective of that first game was to go back and forth with a wheelbarrow between the mixers and an array of troughs lining the central pit, earning points by filling the troughs. Nothing super exciting there, right? But! Also in that central pit, each squarely underneath an industrial hopper full of yet more gunge and with their feet encased in concrete-looking props to keep them from dodging, was the female half of each team.

There were buttons on the floor where the boys were running around with the wheelbarrows, and each time one of them was pushed with a foot or a barrow, the other team's girl would get a bit of gunge from the hopper. What was so mind-blowing to me was, it seemed to have absolutely nothing to do with the score, which was gained by filling troughs, not by stomping buttons. This gunge wasn't an obstacle, it wasn't a forfeit or a punishment for losing. Indeed, the winning and losing team both got it in equal measure after the timer hit zero because that caused both hoppers to empty all of their remaining contents. So these girls were just standing there, having no effect on the game at all, and getting thoroughly messy at random intervals. And both of them had said in the introduction segment that the gunge was the thing they were most looking forward to! I was spellbound.

Fast-forward twenty-one years and many of the scenes I most enjoy are those where the models are getting messy for the hell of it, with no game to lose or humiliation to inflict. I just prefer them a lot more grown-up and less (if at all) clothed.

When I was 10 I saw The Great Race in the gymnasium at my school with a bunch of other families. My grade school used to show movies every week during the summer on a big screen in the gym. When Natalie Wood got pied I became aroused for the first time I remember. I spent the rest of my youth hunting television and movies for women getting pied. And when I found it I would look for those tv shows in repeat and rent those movies multiple times. Changed from the moment I saw Ms. Wood hit with those pies

I would love to be able to remember the first time but I was so young the memory is just far too hazy. I'm certain it was the very first series of Get Your Own Back but as most of that series hasn't been seen since 1991 I have no way of finding out what specific dunking it was. It's one of those deep burning questions I've always wanted an answer to but it's just not possible unfortunately.

For me the usual NHP etc. was where things began stirring. But the 'excitement' started on a gameshow that I can't remember the name of. I was a teen and it involved a game where two teams competed on a chess board type thing. One member of the team was on the board moving things around, another was in the gunge tank waiting for the inevitable. If the chess board member moved something the wrong way, we all knew what happened. It usually ended up being one gunging per team.

Only one day, it wasn't. One team was wrong twice and a girl took both gungings. It was the first time I'd ever seen anyone gunged twice, and that was it! The look on her face as that second helping came down, the mix of colours, the humiliation... I had to excuse myself there and then!

That was Crazy Cottage. I remember a boy getting 3 or 4 gungings on that segment and thinking his mate must have been getting thecsteps wrong on purpose.

I also remember some kid stepping out of the way of the gunge and being like "DUDE!? You're literally living my dream right now and you STEP OUTTA THE WAY?!" Happened on GYOB a couple of times too.

This was definitely Crazy Cottage and yep, even though I was already a year or so into realising about all this, that episode was *amazing* (one of the other girls on the team took a pie in another section too). And I had it recorded too. One of the things that I lost in my stupid "this isn't normal, surely. I'll just destroy my three VHS tapes full of recorded clips and not think about it anymore and that'll be it" moment a few months later.

I went through the same phase - trying to kid myself that if I just deleted all my WAM pics and video I'd somehow "cure" myself. What I should have done was realise it was never going away, and I was going to miss all those irreplaceable videos from Brian Grove and Crazygirls.... oh well. At least I know now who I really am...

I was 6 or 7 years old when my gaze fell upon the album cover for Herb Alperts "Whipped Cream and Other Delights" also around that time I watched Donny Osmond get thrown into a giant cream pie on TV.
But the arrow that hit the bullseye and sent me on my way was watching Natalie Wood in the movie "The Great Race" when I was 10 years old. Shortly after that I layered a yellow rubber and green PVC raincoats and shoved a giant shaving cream pie in my face and literally had my first orgasm.

A feature is "Fiesta" magazine. It showed a young lady dressed as a 'fashionable country girl' standing by a mud pit (somewhere in essex(?) She really looked well dressed. Sadly I now forget her name, but this scene and another for which I know the source are my first definite memories. Suffice to say that the young lady in question needed a good bath after the shoot.

The second invovled a different young lady, this was shot by 'Wet Shots' of Stoke -on-Trent. She was on Kinder Scout in Derbyshire, those who know that area will remeber the deep gullies up there. The wind blew off her hat and she got very nuddy retrieving it .I visited their address in Stoke and was sold some slides by one of the ladies who often featured in their photographs. (No video in those days).

I third has just come to mind, one of the "Electric Blue" series. A young lady was given the job of re wallpapering an old cottage. needless to say the the paste got everywhere except where it should have been. I have been looking for this scene in the EB vids that are still available, but have been unable to find it.

Anyone else remember these scenes?

I'd enjoyed watching gungings and pieings for the pure enjoyment value of it (and still enjoy them, even when there is nothing sexual involved at all).

The first time that I remember getting more than just regular entertainment was on the Saturday Morning show Ghost Train (I think), in one of the earlier episodes. They visited somewhere where there was a custard pie championship happening and they had a team of hot guys who were explaining the rules to one of the presenters. The scene involved them very deliberately placing the pies while discussing the scoring system.

It probably would have been just as hot had it been girls getting pied rather than guys, but it confirmed to me that I definitely liked both.

Age 5/6 watching Laurel and Hardy where they put the hose down their trousers and couple years later Tiswas. I wanted to be in the cage and then to be Sally James. I wanted to be pied by the Phantom flan finger. I remember having very young wet dreams about messy but didn't understand what it was.

Gosh, well here is where I show my age. My first memories are of the excitement of seeing classic clown routines at the circus in days before there was any kind of 'political correctness' - especially the sketch that involved a female stooge being drawn in from the audience.

Then there were the silent movies shown at children's 'Saturday Matinee' cinema. Laurel and Hardy of course, but also later films featuring the Three Stooges and the like.

Later, as others have said, Tiswas and Noel's Housepart we're a 'must' in the TV schedule. I always wanted to be on the receiving end of a pie, and, even managed to take part in the odd slapstick sketch in amateur theatre shows.

It was only much later, after I had discovered I wasn't on my own in enjoying messy activities, that I plucked up the courage to set up messy sessions for myself - both indoors and outdoors. These were just me on my own. Very much later I finally set up sessions with the - (late lamented) - Bill Shipton, Sammy-Jane, and Candy Custard.

Those sessions were awesome and live long and happily in my memory.

Sites like UMD are a real boon. So, keep up the good work and stay messy or wet!

Nickelodeon game shows are the first I remember. There was always that anticipation of wondering if the girl going to get the slime. You'd have to plop in a VHS in the VCR and secretly record stuff and hope for the best results if you wanted to go back to it the old days. Every once and a while there would be a show or a scene in a movie with a girl in a pool or the shower getting her hair wet and I'd always be excited when that popped up too. A while after the internet came around I discovered some UK based stuff, tried to find Sport Illustrated Swimsuit editions pictures with wet models, and eventually the UMD and it opened me up even more. In the 1970's it was: The Bionic Woman episode with her running thru a corridor filling with foam, The MASH episode with the tug of war over the mud, The Donny & Marie Show and the Foamy Shaving Cream commercial where they lowered a woman into a huge pile of shaving cream. By the time the 1980's hit: You Can't Do That on Television, the mudfight on Dynasty, a scene in the movie "The Women's Club" and the Playboy Playmate Play-Off video.
