Have any stories been made into a video?

I would not doubt that wam scenes have been inspired by some stories. What I am wondering is if anyone has written a story and asked for a producer to make a custom video for it. Has someone gotten a custom from someone else's story?

Are there any examples where someone can link the story and link the video?

If anyone had their story made into a custom, did it live up to your imagination and expectations? Exceeding them?

I know writing a story is different from writing a screenplay or custom script. Wam producers don't hire professional actors, and acting and reciting dialogue is difficult. Still, it is interesting to see realizations of ideas.

I think that a number of existing stories would need to be trimmed back to make a custom based on the volume of mess and of course the lack of facilities available to film it.
It would be interesting to know if a Producer is interested in collaborating with a writer, either a new story or one from the archives.

Many a video starts with a script, but they're usually not anywhere as detailed as a story - but some stories of particular note have definitely sparked the imagination of producers too.

Example: Some of the Shokolada's Mess stories were made into (really very good!) videos.

Another issue is that story writers (including myself in this) can play fast and loose with the laws of physics for the sake of the story/fantasy. Certain old sites used to have disclaimer warnings saying not to try to re-enact anything that happened in the stories for good reason.

...It was also because so-called journalists tried to link us to a silly string attack on a news presenter, but my point about healthy & safety and the laws of physics still applies.
