Oh wow, I only just joined UMD a couple of days ago and I am starting to look through all of the stuff on here about meet-ups etc. Would love to have gone to this but sadly am about to go on holiday! (OK I'm not REALLY sad about going on holiday!!) Is this a regular thing? Will there be Pie-Mageddon II ??

I've been throwing pies at my hubby for a long time (and vice versa- he is a long-time lurker here and has been going on at me to sign up!) but wasn't really aware of the online community. Only just starting to see all the possibilities!

Yes, this is the 3rd or 4th year that this event has been here, under one title or another.

I certainly hope that Jo will be able to continue with them as they are great fun. I've been to all of them.

Just arrived home from Pie-Mageddon! It was really good fun (and if you didn't come, you were missing out!).

Now I've got the awkward wait for the washing machine... hopefully the chocolate angel delight will come out of the gusset of my favourite swimming costume - it does look a little like I've shit myself

I'd recommend a cold rinse in the machine first, Tilly. Mine seem to have some out fine.

I imagine that there's been a nervous tension on here ever since I posted about my swimming costume. I'm pleased to confirm that after I got it out of the washing machine this morning, it is perfectly clean and there is no evidence of yesterday's WAM activity! Phew!

I had an awesome day yesterday.

Thank you, thank you all for attending, & making it an awesome messy day!!!! It's you guys that make these events, afterall We finally left THI about 8pm - don't mention the clean up lol!!!! Tilly, myself & Malcolm headed straight for KFC for some well needed dirty chicken to boost our energy levels before the drive home.

Had some mixology mishaps which I shall discuss in another thread, but everything turned out OK in the end. Must also say a BIG THANKS to everyone for helping to set up and clean up - we certainly played hard - found bits of pie crust in some unsusupecting places!!! Thank the lord for jet washers !

I don't know how everyone else is feeling today, but I am absolutely knackered & feeling my age. God help my driving instructor this afternoon........So glad everyone enjoyed themselves & had a great time xxxx

I thought I'd got away with it yesterday but, sadly, the metatarsalgia has been crippling me today. It looks like I must have been on my feet for too long, probably during the clear-up. However - I think I'll look back on it when I can stand up again and still think it was worth it!
