Any locals with a spare room for the night? Or anyone want to share a hotel room?
Megabus are going from London Victoria Coach station to Brum at 10pm and 11:45pm. I will be having my shower at around 9pm so i don't risk missing the 11pm back to Cardiff.
To help anyone with logistics of getting home, in the next week I'm going to be email all the ticket holders a mini survey that will ask what your expected departure time is and what basement messy game you'd like to get involved in.
This will allow me to schedule people that have to leave early into some of the first game slots. And also to see what games people want to play as we've had a number of good ideas here and the ones we already had in mind.
Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to attend this event (time and date issues) But I do want to go to this sort of thing and I wish CK and JnC all the best with the project!
@TheDon88 Shame that you can't make this one, I hope that we do run another event in the future.
****ONLY TWO TICKETS LEFT!!!!!****
Once these have gone, I'll open a waiting list, any cancelled tickets will be offered to the next person on the waiting list and when paid for we'll facilitate a ticket exchange and refund.

I haven't been to London in years, and never in that area... if I have a flight leaving LHR or STN the next morning, is it reasonable (safety wise) to return to the airport via bus or train late at night after the event? I don't know the area at all, but if I can, I'd love to be able to come and meet some of you!
you should be able to get to one of those pretty easily after the event, transport especially to LHR is top notch - if you can make it then I'll help you find what you need
Just wanted to say thank you to CK, JnC and others for your supportive feedback.
If there is a survey about what basement games are played - if there is an option to choose between sweet and savoury items, I know which I'll be choosing - but if not, then I guess I might just have to suffer the humiliation...
I'm pretty nervous about the whole thing - in a nervously excited way! - and all this talk is very helpful. Definitely going to come to the UMD Chat event on the 26th Feb, especially as I don't think I can make the March splunch.
Also *fingers crossed for a certain Lady to be announced*
How many litres of gunge are intended for the gunge tank & the basement games? Will we be having buckets or little jugs poured over us? Any chance of custard/cream/foam pies? Is there a bias in the colour of the gunge you have?

Just relax, show up and have fun, safe in the knowledge that experienced wammers are running this leaving some things to the imagination is a good thing
But fear not, we have had a number of people changing their minds for one reason or another and I have already managed to refund someone because we had another person willing to buy their ticket.
If you are still interested in coming please still email me ck_wam@outlook.com with your details (name, email, mobile number, number of tickets, dietary requirements, other information like medical) and I'll add you to the Waiting List.
If anyone wishes to cancel their ticket, it will be offered to the next person on the waiting list, when the new guest pays, the previous ticket holder will be refunded.
Went to a SLOSH 'Messing About at the Welly' night few years back and this sounds even bigger scale. I have tried so hard to make it fit with work but just can't! !!

That's understandable, it can feel intimidating to step out of your comfort zone. I would definitely suggest coming along to a regular Splunch though, they're just a casual social affair in a pub... No-one else knows why we're there and you can just put faces to a few of the online names. I was nervous my first time doing that but everyone is genuinely understanding and welcoming, and it's a great way to let yourself into the 'scene' gently.
Then before you know it you'll be chucking pies about at one of these events
If anyone is feeling the same way, definitely visit a splunch, or chat to those who've been to them, and I promise you'll be wondering what you were so scared of!
Helpfully there are a couple of them coming up too:
Question about. The hang out session on the 26th. I've never used chat or hang out and won't be available to join in that evening. Just wondering if there was any way I'd be able to view the chat dialogue after it's ended? Ta

Hi davythree. There is no archive for the Hangout, unfortunately. You can log in and scroll up through the conversation, but I don't know how far back that will let you go. I suggest you message MessMaster directly to ask if there's a way to see it after the event.
norfolkboy said: I'm interested in this set of games. Are there tickets still going.?
Hi norfolkboy, the event is sold out, but the waiting list is currently short and there have already been some cancellations, so there is a chance you could get lucky. Email ck_wam@outlook.com to get onto the waiting list.
Ticket Holder Survey has been released - please check your junk/spam mail folder if you don't see it.
Just to repeat the above, we have sold out but are processing a few ticket returns for people on the waiting list. If you are interested you still need to provide your information to ck_wam@outlook.com and I'll add you to the list. If a ticket becomes available the person at the top gets offered the chance to purchase.
Also, all the various events, splunches and hangout dates are on the UMD Calendar: https://umd.net/calendar/
I did some "reconnaissance" during a visit to London last Friday. I got lost and didn't get to the Flying Dutchman but i believe that Peckham Rye, with regular services to Victoria & Blackfriars is the nearest train station (closer than the tube). I would love to be in the tank for Avoid the ace and additionally, as a fan of Fifteen to One, i would enjoy playing a messy version. Strip or slime would be good for me as my final game before my shower (playing Fifteen to One nude despite being a naturist would be a bit odd i think).
Wetimer said: I'll be coming. I was lucky enough to get accepted off the waiting list!
I'll wear all lycra if I'm feeling brave, jeans and t-shirt if not. Or maybe both at the same time
I'm planning to wear either leather or pvc to the upstairs bit and downstairs...just don't want to be the only one! Anyone else male or female willing to wear pvc or leather outfit?
Event finishes 10pm and my Megabus to Cardiff leaves Victoria 11pm. Half an hour walk from The Flying Dutchman to Peckham Road area train stations & 15-30 minutes for trains to go from there to Victoria. Being gunged is hilarious good liberating fun for 30 minutes-1 hour or 2 so I'm fine to not overstay.
I think there are buses that pass pretty close to the venue and serve the station, for the muggles from out of town, London buses tend to be fairly frequent and inexpensive, they don't take cash but your contactless card will work on the yellow reader just like an oyster card.
Steve, I'm still debating what to wear, latex is probable. Best advice is to wear what you feel comfortable in. There's usually a bit of variety in outfits but we're there to have a gungey good time not a fashion show!
