As someone who is a terrible socialiser but been to quite a few play events of a sploshy nature (can anyone beat consecutive nights at different sides of the country?) There's little to fear, I suspect that there'll be enough initial volunteers to get games going so you can watch and chat and join in as the night goes on. When Jo ran the first one in Birkenhead, she had a group of us lined up to be victims if volunteers were slow to come forward and that worked well.

With eyes as bad as mine, getting down stairs is challenging most of the time! As I understand it it's only the gungetank that will be upstairs for specific games so you could just watch and join in downstairs where the games and showers are on the level.

What a great event and am definitely going to pluck up the courage and come!

What are people thinking clothing wise? I like the idea of everyone being really formal, but it will only work if most people coordinate. I have a long dress that's a bit rubbish, so I've only worn it out once, and that was to fancy dress!

I really like the idea of a team game where the loser's team mate gets messy! Or perhaps one where the gungee is blindfolded and has to do a messy obstacle course while being guided by a team mate?

I would like to make a case for a game where the actions required to win result in getting messy - bobbing for apples in a tub of gunge, for example.

Lastly, I intend to make it clear that I intend to use this as an opportunity to get as messy as possible!

I'm planning on dressing smart, as for a night out. It actually IS a night out, after all. My usual sploshing attire of t-shirt or sports kit doesn't feel right for the occasion. Last thing I'd want is a 'dress code' though, I'm interested to see what others will be wearing.

Can't wait for the games to begin. Really, really well done to JnC & CK for organising this.

I'm leaning towards nudity - that way, I can go home in the same clothes I arrived in, and I only need to bring a towel with me.

Great answer Iain, thanks! If anyone needs a hand getting down the stairs I'm sure there will be people to help. We will be providing enough towels etc upstairs to dry off enough to get to the showers (although all guests need to bring their own towel for getting dry after a shower).

Although I won't be wearing PVC/leather, I'd encourage you to wear what you want and not worry about being the only one. There's a good chance flank will be the only one naked for the entire evening and if he's got the balls for that I'm sure you can wear PVC which is not an uncommon fetish after all.

The more I think about the format of this evening the more I think it is genius. I've previously attended events where there has been on-stage gunging of audience members and it was tremendous fun and very exciting but there is a limit to how many people can be gunged one at a time in the course of an evening what with refilling the tank and all so most of the audience went home clean. Instead, at the London games, there will be the basement games to look forward to. On the other hand, I've been to games events where there has been no shortage of volunteers but no-one seemed to want to be the first to get gunged. At the London games several people will already have got messy during the Ace game in the bar thereby breaking the ice. The London games have been very well thought out, it seems!

Flank, as a naturist i shall also be 100% nude. Although i will bring my swimming trunks along as back-up in case I'm the odd one out. On saying that i attended a party full of naked men once and it was absolutely hilarious.

Bit early for outfit planning! The various events I have done I've tended to go for Lycra or latex or both, so I may go down that route again (although my bum isn't as good as it used to be!). I have worn rather formal latex in the gunge tank but that means lugging it via work!

Erm, I might have to be a bit shit and dress in rough clothes I will dump at the end of the night.

For two reasons. The first is that I like all my clothes and don't want them destroyed, but I also don't want my wife wondering why my clothes are full of mess.

People are very welcome to wear whatever they like - the more variety the better as far as I'm concerned! However, we would request that you are at least a little clothed if you're chosen to play Avoid the Ace in the gunge tank. The basement games afterwards, however, have no dress code at all

Hi everyone, sorry for the lack of replies from me. Ticket sales are going very well and between processing them my job, munches, splunches and something called sleep, I've not had much time to get on here.

I have taken on board some of the above games ideas, I had a plan in mind but I'm thinking of a way to incorporate some of the pairing up ideas. This might have to involve an email to all ticket holders to ensure people are grouped/paired up nicely.

I'll echo JnC above, clothing is up to each individual (you take your own risk of items getting damaged/stained etc.). For the upstairs for the first half Gunge Tank Games, please can we keep things a bit more civilised, but then when we get to the second half basement games we'll be much more relaxed with the dresscode. You are free to wear as much or as little as you wish but keep in mind consent: no touching others without permission, please avoid staring and no wanking.

Not only can you relax with like minded people, but you can ask the organisers questions about the event and also meet other people who are attending the Splosh Games.

I just wanted to say thank you for all the lovely comments and support, from those who can AND can't make it. Ticket sales have gone well so as long as the event feedback is positive, I don't see why we won't hold another event in future.
I've also had a number of enquiries about a couples event and swing event in the style of Mas Sex Party/Tainster. If you've seen what MessyHot are doing across the pond, I wonder if we can achieve something similar over here?

Will there be any tickets available on the door? I don't think I'm able to stay for long because of work and getting home etc. but would definitely love to watch the gungings upstairs in the bar and I'm happy to pay for this. I just don't want to book advanced tickets and then find out I can't go.

Will there be many other people going who are also looking to stay clean and just observe?

If I do manage to stay then I'm thinking of wearing pvc to get messy in upstairs and downstairs (but hopefully won't be the only one), however at the moment I doubt I'll get the chance to stay for long.

It's open to everyone! I believe that JnC are bringing some models along and I doubt they'll stay clean!

I'm sure there'll be enough gunge for all participants to get messy. I'm looking forward to it because I've only had people pour gunge over me twice previously but my concern is the regular problem of "yes, all the gunge is washed off" only to have a badly messy towel when i then dry myself off.

As Iain said, this event is open to everyone There will be at least three female models (who will be announced in the coming weeks), who will each be playing a game of Avoid the Ace against a randomly-chosen audience member. There will also be more open gunge games afterwards, with some females involved. There is inevitably going be a male majority among the attendees, but we're working hard to balance that out. The ratio of male to female presence is currently anticipated to be 6:1, which really isn't bad!

In answer to some of the other questions:

sloppygungepants: Lots of people have already expressed nervousness and there will be folk there who are anxious, but we will be going out of our way to ensure it's a relaxed and fun atmosphere and people feel welcome. As mentioned above, the gunge tank game will be a lottery, but the gunge games afterwards will be open to everyone. We've planned it this way so that people don't go home disappointed; everyone has the opportunity to get messy.

Redhead: While I can't guarantee that your towel will be totally clean and dry after your shower, there are places to store your belongings and I'm sure there will be some dry/clean people around, so hopefully you'll be able to find a friend to grab your towel and pass it to you for after your shower We are also looking into creating a screened-off changing area.

Steve_892: We will endeavour to have some tickets available on the door, although at this point I can't guarantee that we won't reach capacity with pre-sales, as ticket sales have already exceeded our expectations. It's worth emailing ck_wam@outlook.com (he's in charge of ticket sales), as he can advise you more on this and he can also give you his phone number, so you can call him on the day if you want to turn up last minute.

We are happy for people to come along and watch, without getting messy. The first half of the evening will only involve a limited number of people playing in the gunge tank, with everyone else making up the audience for the game. I can't say how many people will want to get messy or stay clean, as it doesn't affect the tickets people buy, but maybe we can facilitate an opportunity to ask what people's intentions are...

We're planning a UMD hangout session on Sunday Feb 26th. We've done this before with huge success - bringing lots of people together in the chat room. We can use this session to talk about the event - answer questions and ask ticket-holders what they are expecting from the evening and what they're planning to wear etc.

One last point (for now)... People who want to bring 'disposable' clothes to dump on the evening are welcome to. We will collect these up, wash them and donate them to a homeless charity

I'm finding it curiously reassuring that people are feeling nervous. I first got involved with sploshing as a form of escapism after suffering bullying in University. I get my kicks from the knowledge that nobody who knows me is aware i do sploshing or am attending the event. It is my big secret and i am free to get as messy as i want without anyone asking me what my commitments are on that evening.
