I'm getting really excited for my first ever splunch now! Really looking forward to meeting people, but how do we know how to find each other? Do I just look out for the gunge tank?

I believe the tradition is there's a map book on the table (fortunately as yet no splunch has clashed with a meeting of cartographers ), but I've always found it reasonably easy to locate the group.

Thats a good point.....
We've had holiday brochures, Xmas trees, cuddly toys even a bag of gunge.... How about a Sun Newspaper open on page 3...
Memorise one or two profile pics, that should help; and we normally seem to gather at the end of the bar nearest New Street station - in the main doors, bar ahead, we're at the left end.
For the last 30 mins I've been turning my house upside down looking for my bloody bank card wallet which has all my travel passes for tomorrow in it too! I have never felt so gutted in my life and thinking WTF am i gunna do..........then i found them in the most random stupid place and you think you're such a tw** for putting them there :/
This was a point i was thinking about today, how do we know who we all are......if there is any sense in that :p
I know a few faces, but not all........Who will be there at 2:00 to welcome people, and how will everybody know where to head for in the pub?
If trains are on time i should arrive at New Street about 1:00 and will go check in and be about from 3ish i reckon.
I'm coming but will be somewhat late, setting off from Leeds shortly. Was tending a clients' datacentre generator most of last night after Northern Power Grid had a major cable fault, not long awake. But definitely coming!
Sorry folks, non starter for me. I am in Birmingham but taking in the fumes of some motor racing, so if you are of a petrolhead persuasion head towards Wheels Park
A nice meet. Some new faces, re-acquainted with a few, and some old stagers. Thanks Dave for hosting, and I hope Hayley (and others under the weather) get well soon.
I had a great time, thanks to everyone I met today.
For those of you worried or nervous about attending a splunch, please don't be. Everyone is incredibly friendly and I'm already looking forward to the next one.
Great to see so many of you yesterday. Here is the picture of the card, seems we forgot the group photo before the Chinese though. Hope you caught your train ok Mike. Looking forward to the next one.
Thanks so much to everyone. Firstly apologies to table two that I didn't have mingle-time. Dave, Iain EC Gunge, Binnay and everyone else who I didn't get to formally chat to..Sorry..I really wanted to but time just ran away.
Sploshed, Tilly, Dave, Henry W, Candy, Mike and Kacie, it was a pleasure to meet /re-meet you all.
Sorry I had to leave, I then had 5.5hrs of travel to get to my mothers..but it made her mother's day. I told her you all said 'Hi'
Thanks as always to everyone for being so supportive and friendly and helpful.
Feel as though I've been hit by a bus today, but well worth all today's pain I must say. It was all over so quickly and have to apologise for not speaking to everybody, but I'm sure there will be other times in the future
